not really blown away by this, was expecting.......better!

What were you expecting? Ya it should have come with a few more extras but the actual design of the figure they got right the first time so there was never much to improve on in that area.

Iron Man and Batman remakes only irritate me because the 'old' ones are still pretty new and technically aren't all that outdated when compared to HT output from 2005/6. For many people its like you just bought them and already they're obsolete and it makes you think twice about why you should bother buying any given figure when the next superior version will follow on shortly. Remake the stuff thats really obviously outdated! Thankfully though, it seems they will - like Robocop and some of the old Predators.

I am far from the "elite" on this board (they have their own criteria). I am amused at the negative, provoking tone in several post.

Afterall, folks complaining about whining are also whiners yet somehow it is ok for them to whine. The silliness puts a smile on my face :)

And I guess that means its ok to whine about those who are complaining about whiners whinning. And so on and so on...............

I can't help but notice in your past couple of posts that you've adopted the words 'crying' and 'whining' and are happily deploying them yourself. I don't disagree with the things you said in those posts but, y'know, you jumped on me for using those terms.

The difference is, you directly addressed me inaccurately.

I was hoping for $200 with this figure so when i saw it at $220 it wasn't the instant order i thought it was going to be. That being said i don't want to miss out on this (again) because of $20 so after a few hours of thinking it through my pre order has been placed. Now the waiting begins.

It's a nice feeling but a feeling not many of us will have anymore, elder pred will be the next De-grailed figure after him Wolverine and then probably blade( although I will let them away with wolverine and blade as they could be based on other movies).

Are they doing another Blade figure? I better sell mine while I can still consider it an investment.:rotfl I could retire early based on it's "worth". It is nice to know a figure tripled in "value" but "investment" talk is OTT.

Anyways, I'm stoked they re-did this IM I, the first headsculpt needed an update and I had to cancel at the time because work was really, really, quiet and "real life" priorities had to come first.

Meanwhile, my wallet is screaming "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!! Get out of my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

i am still waiting for someone to explain why this is $200 and the iron monger is $480...

im just going to assume that the size (iron monger 17" mark i 12") is what makes the price difference. the figure looks like it has more mechanical parts and there is more of a figure to paint and assemble so the cost goes up.

still dont think it should be twice the cost but whatevs

I'm actually surprised at the price Hot Toys placed this v2.0 Mk.I at...it's lower than I thought it would be.

I found the first Mk.I to be one of the best multimedia figures HT has built to date. This new one should be slightly better.

This is a bargain- look at the cost of Red Skull and Black Spidey...this is much lower than I thought it would be...
This is a figure that had no development cost for Hot Toys. Therefore, charging like it was expensive for them to develop makes it not a bargain.
