It's hard for to commit to collecting Iron Man armors, even though I would love to have an armory. Instead, I buy the ones that are the most interesting or important to me. I understand a lot of people have the Mark 1 already, or focusing on the Avengers, but I think this is a great release and I'm glad I preordered. I think it's my favorite armor after the Mark VII.

Thats 3 months to long for me, I want my one now :impatient:

Tell me about it, I'm really excited about this figure. It has, imo, the best looking RDJ head sculpt yet, and it's uniqueness makes it an essential armor in my collection. It's tough to rationalize buying a bunch of the other armors, but this one is just so bad ass how can you pass it up? The three inch holographic figure is pretty awesome too. :yess:

I like the exclusive piece. Hopefully it fits with the other holographic accessory. I hope to try and get that one too!

Unlikely they fit together. They are both from scenes of Tony working out the Mk II in his lab in the first IM film. He calls up a holographic spec of the Mk I at his lab table to analyze and reconfigure the design. This is what the Mk I exclusive is based on.

Later, after building the jet boots and slamming himself into the wall, he designs the repuslors for stability. Then he "tries on" the holo version of the repulsors, which is what we get as the Mk II exclusive.

Just decided I'd rather have this over T-800 DX10

Yeah, can't say I blame you. I know I don't need many Iron Man figures, but I do like this version a lot. I've held off on the DX10 because while the sculpt looks great, it's too off for me, especially compared to how accurate RDJ likeness is on the MKI 2.0.

Yeah, it's a nearly perfect likeness, the face just seems a bit wide on the sides (though not the features). Hopefully that gets fixed. Regardless, it's such a great likeness of RDJ, and I agree one of Hot Toys best so far. They've had a lot of practice with RDJ by now, so I hope when we get the MKVII we get a "perfect" likeness.

Yea I'm really looking forward to see what we get in terms of sculpt with the MK7 as in in helmet or no helmet RDJ sculpts b/c I doubt we'll get both.

I really like this but I really only want 1 iron man and it will be the MK7. Unless they tease us with an MK3 2.0 that is then i'll be more inclined to get this as well

Yeah, so far I've been able to avoid only a couple of Iron Man figures, lol. I'm really interesting in what they do with him from this point on, I have high hopes. It's a character they are so well versed in I almost expect it to be like a well oiled machined turning out the best thing possible. I mean that in the most complimentary way.

I'm still happy that HT decided to remake this one. I got in after this bad boy was sold out and on eBay for a million dollars.
