Anyone here knows who of them came first?

The one that was underneath?

Seriously though, if Xena were an actual character of historical mythology and not just a pop culture icon, she would pre-date Norse mythology by a long shot, I would say. Collections of the accounts of Norse gods and adventures range from before the C13th but that is still way after the Greek mythology of Hercules....

I think.

Actually, this is hard to determine because both Greek and Norse mythology have common ancient Indo-European origins and share many themes, ideas and motifs, though they've been tailored somewhat to the climate they came to inhabit.

Chief god (Odin, Zeus), Thunder God (Thor, Zeus), wife (Frigg, Hera), superior powers of destiny (Norns, Fates), overthrow of father figures (Ymir, Chronos) and so on.

What you refer to is the time period when Norse mythology was written down, but it must have existed in similar form from pre-written times, all the way back to the first Indo-European split sometime around 4,000 BC.

here's some useful info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Indo-European_religion

Thanks, most informative.

You can't really date it at all since it's mythology, only the time periods when it was most identified in cultures and in some cases art or written account. As far as comparing it to others, well sort of silly when most religions all bear similarities that can be recognized. There are similar Germanic myths to Norse or Celtic or whatever but not all of the same as one would expect things to vary in different areas just like languages.

Saw that earlier and yep Thor 2 version is much nicer than the Avengers version, cancellation may well be in the offing

The evolution of Hemsworth is pretty staggering as well

I'm thinking the same thing, I might just cancel and wait a year lol. That sounds like a very long time but by then Ill be excited again seeing progress pics. Im sure I just really like the new look much better.

I just think the Thor 2 outfit has a much more noticeable difference to it compared with the original. There's very little difference between Thor 1 and Avengers version

Looking at the picture of version 1 Thor he looks pretty bad. I thought Branagh did a pretty good job directing but wish he would have initially went with a look more like this in the first place.

When this movie finally comes out we will start seeing photos of his Avengers 2 outfit and will wait another year and half for that version :lol
