I wouldn't say that it's a new sculpt, I'd say, just like HT said, it's an updated sculpt. Which I would assume means that they took the originaly sculpt and adjusted it to make that look more like Hemsworth like what I do with some of the SS Star Wars sculpts. No way do I believe it to be a fresh from scratch sculpt nor do I think that it's only he lighting of the pic.

Still, looks great and much better in these new pics than in the original announcement pics.

On the lower right of the gif. The end of the locks on the shoulder. For goodness sake it is clear as day.

I didn't notice the hair thing before. Looks like hey added a few more strands/locks of hair.

Dude. I'm sorry but no amount of name calling can convince me it's different. You don't think the fourth lock of hair, your smoking gun, could possibly be tucked behind the shoulder on the first pic? Or that the end of the others are fitting inside that hole of the armor?

I like this change, the hair ends was the very first thing that kinda threw me off in the first proto pics

definitely agree. The ends of the hair on the original proto were too parted from each other. The added hair filling in the gaps was a good thig for them to do

If HT ever gets around to a sleeveless version, I wonder if they'd go with the casual look (when he's hanging out on the helicarrier) or the warrior look (from his fight with Cap and Iron Man.) I'd prefer the latter, but certainly wouldn't mind if they included both tunics.

This is a nice figure, but not different enough from the Thor version for me to jump on, especially since I prefer his classic bare-armed look.

If the sleeves are removable in this one then you pretty much already have the latter

Here's a few more to scale side view comparisons. The hair change is the most obvious, and the features seem softer in the new update.

I changed the color balance in the front view of the first prototype to be similar to the updated version, but honestly, it's probably not the best comparison. Feature differences (less harsher nose/eyebrows) could be due to lighting as some say. The official prototype images from the first batch all had Thor's head tilted down.

Overall, the new images have made me like this figure more. Even though I have the movie Thor version, I may save up for this.

No way, RIDDICK. Feel free to check my posts. I mentioned the HS needed some work, but was still fine with it and PO'd this figure the day it came up for PO. If they fixed it or not, it was bought by me. But everyone knows protos change all the time.

I can see Hemsworth now. Thank you, HT! If his mouth was not open, I bet this would be a perfect likeness. But I'm much happier with this figure now, and I'm so looking forward to add it to my collection.

I dont think its possible to completely please people like you... and if I were HT I would quit trying. You would probably complain if HT encased Hemsworth in carbonite and delivered him to your door for free.

Whether its minor tweeks or new photography, this figure looks excellent now! Kudos to HT!

I just want to say to anyone who still thinks this doesn't look like Hemsworth, this is what you need to do: Go to google images, find a picture of Chris, print it out and glue it to your figure's face. Bam, problem solved.
