For those who still think it is the same sculpt with different lighting look at the changing gif and watch the tips of the hair on his shoulder on the right side(not right shoulder). It clearly is a different sculpt.

Because of the hair? Really? Come on man. You gotta do better than that. It is clearly two different angles so you can't make a clear comparison. And the lighting is different. The same head can look completely different in different light.

But anyway, I wonder what is under the shirt that makes the muscles move and look out of place in some pics. Could it be they have segmented muscles under the sleeves?

All I knows is, Hot Toys gave us those solicitation pics from lots of different angles, and in none of them does he look very much like Hemsworth to me. In the new pic, he does clearly look more like Hemsworth. The Loki looked fine in HT's conventional lighting, but Thor didn't. If it is, indeed, the same sculpt, then HT must have used some of the worst lighting I've ever seen for the figure solicitation, since it looks less like the figure in the newer pics than I remember ever seeing in a Hot Toys sculpt when two analogous kinds of pics were used.

I don't think the sculpts are the same either. He looks infinite x better. Lighting wouldn't do that. Plus HT even said themselves the Thor sculpt with adjustments.

Hot toys did say that it was a new sculpt. Do some think they are lying?

I just hope that by the time we get another Thor Hot Toys nails him, but until then this is very nice.

Ok heres my opinion, the brow seems more relaxed and its more thick? Just like hemsworths, the hair, the forehead is reduced, the eyes, the cheeks, the mouth seems to open up a little bit more, the beard is lighter so its clearly a news sculpt,thats the way i see it

A lot of the things you mentioned could simply be due to lighting
..but not everything, hence, new sculpt

Look at the hair dude. Exactly where I said to look. It is not two different angles at all one has three locks spaced completely different than the four locks. They don't even curl the same way. Either you are blind or trolling because if it were any clearer it would smack you in the face.

So I have ignored this thread as the face sculpt was just not doing it for me. Great I said to myself; I can save some cash for Hulk/Cap or whoever.
Now I just happen to take a peek yesterday and I see this HUGE change in the face.
Hot Toys has done it's Jedi mind trick thing again because I just preordered.

Dude. I'm sorry but no amount of name calling can convince me it's different. You don't think the fourth lock of hair, your smoking gun, could possibly be tucked behind the shoulder on the first pic? Or that the end of the others are fitting inside that hole of the armor?

Whatever man. I'm done arguing about it cause I'm not trolling or blind. Let's just agree to disagree ok? Sheesh. Just drop it. You be happy with what you see and I'll keep believing what I see.

Not name calling. Just very incredulous. It isn't flexible free flowing hair. It's molded and there are two extra locks not just one. But whatever. Pass the shrooms!
