as in when he swings the webline does not detach from the shooter, instead, it stays on the shooter as he swings...I always assumed the web would come off the shooter after he shoots the web

It's dependent on what he needs the web for, same applied in the Raimi movies! If lowering himself or pulling himself up it doesn't detach, if swinging it does!

The increase in the level of detailing from MMX01-current in terms of head sculpt, choice of fabric, rubber and plastic, accessories, packaging. That intrinsic value is what I refer to as quality. One would think that the quality will get better over time and yet lately it seems as though they've brought it to a standstill whereas other companies, like Medicom, are getting better and better (but they're not getting as many licenses as HT).

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks HT's of all people should of got that at least right.

Not a problem, easily paint it silver.

Does anyone know it's still destined to release next month.

nope they were definitely blue...they started out as silver but during the lizard battle in the sewers it was changed to blue

interestingly the webline stays on his webshooters (from this picture) as he swings...gotta look into the movie if that happens as well

also he apparently doesn't hit the "pressure pad" as he fires the web

Which pressure pad do you speak of? When I watched the behind the scenes it showed he had one extended from the shooter on his wrist that went under the glove to activate.

see the black thing on his palm? that one...doesn't seem like he hit it most of the time when he fires his webs...

I believe they were silver/chrome when when he wore them while not in costume one the leather wrist straps like when he tried them out for the first time and was over at Gwen's

Ok. I see it now thanks. Does it really matter though? The movie was still good even if you notice he doesn't hit the pad. It's implied. One of those great movie magic moments where things seem to happen but don't really like landing real punches. Dunno.

indeed, but being a visual effects artist it sort of bites me (like a small ant, no biggie) but these are things I kinda notice

That black pad is just like for grip, in a artbook of the movie it had still photos and one pic was from a scene not in the movie of him developing the web shooters and there was like thin metal strips that extend out to the middle lower palm which is like the trigger mechanism its underneath the glove when he is in his costume.

These two screencaps are from the scenes leading up to the climax of the movie. At first I thought that the chrome ones are for hero shots and the blue plasticy ones for stunts but after I watched the movie just for the webshooter bits I don't know what to think.

I reckon it's blue with chrome on the sides... or maybe they're entirely in chrome and the blue is from the environment HDRI on the CG shots (evening ergo bluish)... or it's chromy blue?

But that clockwork ornament on the webshooter might be a tall order even for HT to make, eh?

EDIT 2: Solved it! It's basically chrome like a wristwatch and then painted blue, which is why under different lighting conditions the chrome might still pop up due to its reflective nature. This pic explains it:

His left hand web shooter looks chrome-ish and yet the one on his right hand looks blue. So, in the end, this is something HT CAN do. Just paint it with the same coat as the eyes, that'll do I reckon.
