Looks like someone was really excited to shoot that day..:rotfl

Oh Andrew...NOOOOO

:exactly::goodpost:

There's a difference between not liking it full stop and just being disappointed that it's lost it's originality :lecture

Exactly. The classic Spiderman costume of old, is probably one of the coolest superhero costumes ever designed. And when they went with that design for the Raimi movies (heck, even for Nicholas Hammond's TV Spidey too) I was a happy as Larry.

(I don't know who this 'Larry' character is, but he does seem to have an extortionate amount of fun at my expense!)

I still do love that look. So I can see that tinkering with the design to modernise it was something of a brave move...only to fall back on the classic all along.

They just wanted to show a starter suit.(how a kid makes a spider costume) Not really make a brave move. I'm positive the plan was eventually get back to spideys regular threads.

Yep, that's my take, too. Will be interesting to find out, though. I'm guessing that if the suit was changed due to fan reaction that someone inside will eventually comment on it.

pretty spiffy design for a starter suit
Well, it's his first proper suit, so it's a starter regardless of if the design changes or stays consistant movie to movie. Kid's just good with a needle, dammit!

Disagree, this was the 'starter suit' as you call it in the Amazing Spiderman

Just as this was the starter suit in Raimi's original trilogy

Oh, great, now we're referring to Raimi's Spiderman as the original trilogy. Don't get all Star Wars on me now.:slap

No that was just a i dunno WTF i'm doing suit. (I'm talking about the first one that actually took time to make.)

I like the ASM suit but not enough to own it. It's kinda cool, though, that they did change the design as now the representation will be unique and reference one movie. Really doubt that HT will ever revisit it for a V2.

I'm kinda not liking the suit again now, why have they made the blue darker like the Raimi suit? It was nice being that proper spider-man shade of blue.

Am so glad I ordered this figure because it's a brilliant take on the spider-man suit and such a shame we won't see it again.

Well it is the iriginal trilogy and this is the new trilogy. Doesn't mean it's any less.

I would've liked the blue to be lighter too.

I had such high hopes for this Trilogy, I thought it was going to be the Spider-man equivalent Nolan Batman, but alas they have now made a cartoon looking suit *sigh*

I really don't get how the new outfit is any more cartoony than the first. The shape of the eyes on the new is signature Spider-Man and many artists have made it look cool and gritty.

As far as Nolan goes, Spider-Man doesn't lend itself well to that kind of seriousness (and while it worked in BB and TDK, I think it outstayed its welcome by TDKR), IMO, aside possibly from the death of Gwen Stacey.

I agree. While I do like the new ASM 2 suit, I wish there were more elements from the ASM1 suit than just the chest and back symbol. I would've preferred the same material as the first suit and the webbing to continue to be recessed vs raised.
I know this has been delayed buy man i still wanna see it :impatient:

Yea I want to see the final production piece
