^ no reason to release DX13, Catwoman, Loki, Barney Ross ect... until the next movies come along

the difference here is THERE IS NO NEXT MOVIE with these figures, which was my point all along. why bring out a figure when you can capitalize on the hype and the subsequent impulse purchases brought on by something still having current relevancy.

hot toys doesn't just have their own release calender to consider in these deals, they also have the license and branding of marvel (in this case)...which isn't stupid about how to manipulate the market and market trends.

it may not take until the next movie is out, but you can be sure it will be in conjunction with some form of announcement regarding it.

Spider-man has reached Classic Iconic status, along with Batman and Superman. They are the 'Big Three' in the world of superheroes and so therefore, he is always going to sell no matter what.

This variation is still classic enough to appeal to the 'golden age' fans, but has enough new elements to attract the more recent fans. Let's face it, even with the changes it is still definitely 100% Spidey!

I'm gettin' super excited. After the cancellation of Enterbay's Django, which was the other figure I'd preordered, I decided I should stop whining about delays on this guy and just be thankful that I'm getting him at all. He's going to look great.

But retailers and carriers all over the place have refunded their buyers, saying it's not happening, and there were one or two articles on the internet (which I know doesn't absolutely confirm anything) that say they're canceled. Enterbay hasn't said anything about it, and like I said, people have been refunded left and right.

from a collector's stand point, if you have SM3's Spidey then it is kinda pointless to buy this one, but however, if you do not have it then all the more you should get this (if it gets made) so you'll have a classic spidey as well...

anxious to see the back spider too
