Good thing Medicom fixed that before release...there is also one of these....
So you really think it's not better to wait and see either when better pictures of it get taken by someone with actual skill nor seeing what it's really like inhand? So if wanting to see better images of figures or the actual figures themselves is demonstrating part of a clique mentality, in other words not something you personally would do...what on earth are you basing your opinions on? When I've said those things, and I have said them...in this thread in fact, I meant them. I was not voicing those thoughts just because a select few might have done so previously, and that I just wanted to be in the 'in crowd'. To me that wild assumption is just ludicrous and insulting.
So where am I in your huge and now clearly inaccurate and totally condescending generalisation?
Who ever said anything in this game is ever black and white? I LOVE MY 1:6 collection but I know without a doubt that the Big Chief Studios AMY POND figure is absolutely the very worst figure I have ever bought, and my review of it is a lot, lot less than favourable. My wife doesn't even want to acknowledge it, such is her dislike of it. Do I think that all of my figures are absolutely and 100% completely perfect? No of course I don't, because that's just being deliberately stupid, and I'd bet that no one else here does so of their personal collections either. Because we all know the truth...that it is impossible to achieve perfection of such things in the 1:6 scale, it's usually hard enough in the 1:1. So then, even though you cannot see it, your view becomes as extreme as those of whom you accuse extremism. And why....?
Because Rory, my forum friend, you seem to be stating the bleeding obvious regarding the collecting of these figures, and assuming that you are the only one that thinks rationally about them. When in fact, some of your ideas...like about what's 'cliquey' and what is not, are a demonstration of your own version of "extreme". Just like me, you are absolutely no different from any other person here.
And so, if waiting for better pictures, or waiting to see what the 'in hand' opinion is, is being in any way unusual or strange...well then you'll just have to paint me unusual and strange.
There seems to be a mini mental clique on SSF, which drums out the same response every time. "wait for OMG's pics", "remember the Luke fiasco", "this will look much better in hand" etc etc ad nauseum.
I don't agree with this mentality. As I find it's very rarely accurate

I don't have bad hair days...I am bald - saves time and hassle and, as it turns out, money
It will basically be in a museum pose if you don't want to ruin it thoughOK, now I am more interested in the Medi than I was before...may need to sell of my duped '89 Bat + Joker pair to fund it.
I can assure you I am perfectly calm matey. I don't have bad hair days...I am bald - saves time and hassle and, as it turns out, money
But begging to differ, about what you said and didn't say...
I did read your post, very carefully, several times and amongst the rest of it, this floated to the top.
Is Spiderman the final item from the last 'Upcoming releases' poster from Hot Toys?
I'm wondering when we can expect the next such poster which hopefully DX13 will appear on.
There is only Terminator with you Andrew.
I think so, maybe the Powerpose Ironman yet to come, but I would imagine the T2 DX13 will be in the next batch.
Yup, I said I don't agree with dis-acknowledging first pics as being mid-representative of the final product. So what? That's just my opinion, I think you may have taken the ball and ran with it (in the wrong direction).
Never mind, let's move on.
Regarding the Medi, I suggest getting one pretty quickly if you are interested, they genuinely are limited in their numbers and I can see a rush on them if this doesn't do a turnaround when more pics are released.
Well if running in the direction that the nuance and substance of the text dictates is considered wrong, then...I suppose you should say that I ran the wrong way
As a matter of course, I actually liked the first pictures and have not dis-acknowledged them personally, and I am also in for this figure, still. I prefer how the AG sculpt looked in those early shots but I am prepared either way to wait for more and better pictures out of interest...it's not going to stop me from buying it becasue the unmasked head was only ever a bonus.
Still, we can agree to differ, so as far as I am concerned, it's all good. People talk they agree or don't agree, that's what it's all about. So, as you say, moving on.
The unmasked head for me is a big deal, I had a custom Parker body prepared to go with it. So I guess my personal disappointment stems from that. I'm still undecided on the masked figure, it could look great.
Imagine the excitement right now if those leaked pics hadn't surfaced
