Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Just occurred to me that to do flying poses they need to include a separate head specifically angled up/straight ahead. Would also be useful for the classic Iron Man landing pose.

false....they'll make a ton...
You take your chances then. I think about six or so months after release these will dry up and people wanting one will have to pay crazy prices for these like the Mark IV and Mark VI. I learned my lesson with the Mark IV.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

No, you did not observe Mk. 6 in Avengers properly (specifically Mk.6 vs Loki, around 2 seconds screen time)... [You missed the thigh missiles too of Mk.7]

Mark 6 has multiple missiles like the IM2 in addition to a large forearm missile and the parts that I mention (And I'm referring to 6).

I observed/noted all this on my first viewing.... and confirmed on many subsequent ones..

p.s. there are videos online that you can screen grab.

OK, I get you. Because of the 3D, the main single missle stuck out that it probally took my focus away from the rest plus with me thinking, was is that doing of the suit. Thanks for clarifying.

Wrong. Your still talking like hot toys cares about the collectibility/value of this figure. They will just re release it just like they did with the mark 1,2 ua,3 battle damaged,4 gantry,4 secret project, there going to re release the mark vi under the avengers lable. the days of top tier big licensed figures selling out if you don't pre order them are gone. Superman, batman Keaton, joker nickelson, classic predator, are all great examples. Hot toys is in it for the money, and they should there a company. Don't get me wrong I love how the Loki looks but he's priced right up there with the dx lines?????? Quality goes down, production goes up, and re releases Aka v 2.0 are a plenty. There's no way a figure can hold it's value you when they make a better one every 2 years. It might dry up, but right when that happens here comes the toy fair ed, sdcc edition, milk Ed, and my favorite v 2.0/3.0/ultimate edition. I learned my lesson about 1 1/2 years ago....wait......after the figure has been released for 2-3 years the best version will be releases

Hmm, don't remember IM putting his helmet on that way, that is the Mark VI from the Avengers movie right? Looks like after the Germany scene when Caps and IM are in the Quinjet.

Yep, he puts this on right before he opens the door and Thor comes in.

I seem to always fall into that one time period where the figure I want is sold out, there is no news of a newer version and I am being asked to pay secondary prices in the range of $400-$500 for a figure. :lol
So I will be pre-ordering this when available. I agree with you on the price point but you can either pay and get the figure or not pay and don't get the figure. I have to be more selective about what I want to but, gone are the days of buying Captain Jack Sparrow b/c he looks cool.

Back to the Mark VII, was this suit just in the final battle of the Avengers? I hate to admit this but I didn't pay close attention in the movie.

So is there already a HT Mk VI figure that would work as a representation for how he appeared during the first half of the movie?

Isn't that what the special movie edition *cough* bunch of parts we had lying around *cough* Mark VI was supposed to be?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

So that recent special edition is the only Mk VI Iron Man that Hot Toys has made?

There is also a Iron Man 2 version Mark VI out there as well and is *a little cheaper* :lol than the Special Edition Avengers Mark VI.

I think the days of a Hot Toys figure being any kind of 'investment' are over. They are now producing them in greater numbers, in much longer runs, and re-releases, as you say, will push down the value of the figures. On the plus side it means that you can now get quite a few figures for below retail. People are still trying to shift the MkV figure, and that came out ages ago...

:exactly:
true.... I don't recall any figure of the past year selling out fast...

Iron Monger/Gantry/Batmobile (in the future) maybe the truely limited... solely on sheer size and price.

This, Sweeney Todd, and few other figures are the reasons because of which I have virtually stopped pre-ordering.
