Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII
not the mark VII but still
not the mark VII but still
Looks like, preorder it when it goes up, I have a feeling it will sell out fast.
false....they'll make a ton...
You take your chances then. I think about six or so months after release these will dry up and people wanting one will have to pay crazy prices for these like the Mark IV and Mark VI. I learned my lesson with the Mark IV.false....they'll make a ton...
No, you did not observe Mk. 6 in Avengers properly (specifically Mk.6 vs Loki, around 2 seconds screen time)... [You missed the thigh missiles too of Mk.7]
Mark 6 has multiple missiles like the IM2 in addition to a large forearm missile and the parts that I mention (And I'm referring to 6).
I observed/noted all this on my first viewing.... and confirmed on many subsequent ones..
p.s. there are videos online that you can screen grab.

Hmm, don't remember IM putting his helmet on that way, that is the Mark VI from the Avengers movie right? Looks like after the Germany scene when Caps and IM are in the Quinjet.
I seem to always fall into that one time period where the figure I want is sold out, there is no news of a newer version and I am being asked to pay secondary prices in the range of $400-$500 for a figure.Wrong. You still talking like hot toys cares about the collectibility/value of this figure. They will just re release it just like they did with the mark 1,2 ua,3 battle damaged,4 gantry,4 secret project, there going to re release the mark vi under the avengers lable. the days of top tier big licensed figures selling out if you don't pre order them are gone. Superman, batman Keaton, joker nickelson, classic predator, are all great examples. Hot toys is in it for the money, and they should there a company. Don't get me wrong I love how the Loki looks but he's priced right up there with the dx lines?????? Quality goes down production goes up and re releases Aka v 2.0 are a plenty. There's no way a figure can hold it's vale you when they make a better one every 2 years. It might dry up but right when that happens here comes the toy fair ed, sdcc edition, milk Ed, and my favorite v 2.0/3.0/ultimate edition. I learned my lesson about 1 1/2 years ago....wait......after the figure has been released for 2-3 years the best version will be releases
Back to the Mark VII, was this suit just in the final battle of the Avengers? I hate to admidt this but I didn't pay close attention in the movie.
So is there already a HT Mk VI figure that would work as a representation for how he appeared during the first half of the movie?
So that recent special edition is the only Mk VI Iron Man that Hot Toys has made?

I think the days of a Hot Toys figure being any kind of 'investment' are over. They are now producing them in greater numbers, in much longer runs, and re-releases, as you say, will push down the value of the figures. On the plus side it means that you can now get quite a few figures for below retail. People are still trying to shift the MkV figure, and that came out ages ago...
