Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Well, you never know the truth but he's expressed his enjoyment playing the character more than once in interviews. Plus, he's set to make over 50m from Avengers alone because after Iron Man he negotiated a deal to get a percentage of profits from the back end! So that's gotta help. :)

I'm starting to wonder if, with this armor, we'll get interchangeable panels to represent the bulkier thruster suit instead of BD panels like the VI. I suppose they COULD do both... but I'm kind of doubting it.

Yeah, 50 mil doesn't hurt.:hi5:

I'm sure it's fun to be Iron Man, but we'll see when his contract is done. I hope there's more films.

But I will be definitely getting this figure. I wasn't interested in collecting HT. I was more into collecting Kamen Rider stuff. But I switched. :wink1:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Looks aswome been waiting on this to get my first Iron Man figure. Cant wait

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Can anyone who's analyzed the movie give us a rundown of the weapons we could possibly be getting with this figure? Shoulder missiles, wrist lasers, that sort of thing?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I know I just joined, but I saw some things about posting spoilers, so I'm not sure how much detail we can go into. Forgive me if this is a spoiler, so be warned..

Given the teaser of the armor though, it's pretty much given away. He has thigh missiles, lasers on his arms (like in IM2 when he takes down all of those Hammer Drones), and I can't remember what else but I'm sure he has a couple other tricks aside from the normal repulsors. The backpack is a thruster so he doesn't have to use his hands. The armor is also a lot like the MKV in that its stores in a compact form, but it can fly on its own and form around Stark as long as he's wearing the MKVII bracelets. So I hope we get that as an accessory.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'd say that's a good guess... I also think...
It'd be cool if the shoulder popped open to reveal an array of micro missiles.

- Shoulder missle pods
- Arm Rocket
- Wrist laser
- Thigh missles
- Unibeam
- Repulsors
- Spinning rims (in development)

:rock

The detachable back unit has a lot of potential
for alternate weapon systems
(will probably be explored in IM3)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

If he comes with the option to remove his jetpack or whatever, that would be awesome, but i wouldn't display him without it though

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Yeah, it's tough to remember everything. I've seen the movie three times now, but I just don't take in a lot of the small details because I'm too excited, lol. It's just such a fun movie. The MK VII has some of the coolest weapon features so far though imo.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

The curse of being a Mark Suit completist is that you are committed to buying this no matter what. Doh! lol

It does look sweet though and I'm looking forward to it.

:exactly::exactly: So, so true. But HT, scale notwithstanding, has the IM's down pat. We got at least four more IM suits to go, right? One always gets damaged beyond repair in every movie, then he brings out a new mark at the end. Meaning he'll have at least two more (IM3 and Avengers 2) per each film, at least. So, basically, I need the MK 1, MK VII, Mk VIII, MK IX, MK X, and MK XI to complete my set of amors. :rotfl

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'll be looking forward to the pop-up shoulder missiles, as well as the extra bulk of this suit. I'm considering letting go of my MK IV for this.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

or maybe just one more main suit for IM3 and probable another for Avengers2

More sequels... less emphasis of armor variants...

There's WM Mk. 2...

I would be very shocked if it were just two additional MK in two more upcoming movies. The pattern doesn't suggest it. There are 7 MKs from three films already.

Have you guys been keeping up with the news on the IM3? Don't read this if you haven't or you don't want any spoilers..
..but they are saying the story will draw from Warren Ellis' Extremis mini series. I don't know to what extent given the other characters there being discussed for the film, but that might mean he gets a more permanent armor if it's part of him biologically?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Need to watch this movie again firstly because it is awesome, but also can't remember all of Iron man's weapons inn this one. They have gone back to the mark 3 type missle in the forearm, but they also did it for themark 6 aswell instead of the multiple missle that we saw in IM2. I don't remeber the thigh missles that they are showing in the production preview. Anybody else remeber any new weapons we have seen in the previous films.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

To be honest though, if they stuck too the comics and gave us some more of what we wanted to see, there could have been 3 new Marks in the avengers.
.. One for when the mark 6 was underwater, could have used that suit when Iron man goes underwater to see Namor in the comics. Also people thought there might have been an easter egg of the Hulk Buster suit.

Mk. 6 has the multiple forearm missiles in IM2, plus a few weapons more(shoulder/forearm/abdomen...) not in IM2.

Thats what I said. In the Avengers, the mark 6 had a single rocket not the multple. And the extra weapons you are talking bout is the mark 7 not 6. You completely missed what I was saying :1-1:
