Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Ordered the regular version MK7 from Sideshow:yess:. Happy to be getting him but sad that he will probably be the last MK I'll purchase. With all the other projects HT has coming out and prices increasing Ive gotta be more selective. But between the MK4 MK6 and MK7 I should have a great Ironman display going on. Cannot wait for this guy!

I kind of doubt that. I thought the same thing when I got my MkIV.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I can relate to that. I'm just glad I'm not interested in too many movies/games and I don't know too many comic books. Otherwise I'd probably live under a bridge with hundreds of figures crammed in my shopping cart(s) :lol

Lol.
Welcome to my world.
I have my model kit and toy stash on shelves i built at work in a storeroom we don't use for anything else....

:exactly: The next one always looks better than the last one.

While i love the MKVI Armour as my favourite(It's so sleek, i think of it as the Porsche 911 of the Armours), and the MKVII is a War Armour(All armours are built for fighting, but the MKVII seems like the Sherman Tank of the armour lineup), i honestly think the pinnacle of the designs was the MKIV.
So classic, but with a hint of the modern in the arms and legs.
Just one man's opinion.

Airsoft gun next to Samwise, pointing at some guy in a black suit. :D

Great collection. :clap

Lol. It's not Samwise. It's the exclusive Peter Jackson As Hobbit figure. But i knew what you meant.
And the figure in the suit is "Arvin Sloane" from the Alias show, but which one day i plan on putting into a GWB diorama. :)
I am in the process of selling it all off to fund my new HT habit.

Not sure about that. I just recently bought a Mech Test Tony Stark and for now he is my favourite figure. New does not always mean better to me.
Buuuut yes, the MkVII suit really got my attention, even though I don't like the poses the Hot Toys people put him in for the gallery. Could be a lot better - like the way he was posed for that recent event (which I don't remember the name of), where they also showed the 1/4 Batman etc.

So that's it for Christmas and my birthday in February... 1/6 MkVII and 1/6 Batman. Can't afford anything else now. I just hope my motorcycle won't need any repairs until sometime after May next year :S

Never pay for pre-orders. You have only 45 days to file a dispute after you've paid. If you pay today you'll have to trust the seller that he sends you the figure next year.

Then I don't think it should be a problem, check his feedback. Is it good? And btw, 216 sgd!? THAT'S SUPER CHEAP! I'm probably gonna have to pay double of that here in Europe... :gah::gah::gah:

Which seller is it? Could you link it to me?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Wow Cap looks really awesome! No head sculpt with him yet? Thats a good sign they are retooling the bad one Im assuming. Thor looks really good here too. Wish whoever shot the video wouldn't have gone through so fast.

Do Hot Toys often go back and change an expression on a figure? I mean, maybe they are improving his sculpt, but I wouldn't mind if they just closed his mouth while they are at it. Though I do want a sculpt like they are showing, I'd rather they not do it if they can't get it looking right.

Agreed. You can see elements of both. I think the Mk.VIII is fine. Only the beige/cream color. I'd like it to be red or gold instead.

I agree, gold vs beige would be much, much better. I guess we'll have to wait and see what it looks like on screen.

Ahh, very cool.
If you have any Lego Star Wars, let me know. I'm primarily interested in the UCS line of Lego Star Wars.
