Anyone else hoping, beyond reason or likelihood, that HT will surprise us with a Mark VII delay so they can cast his crotch in PVC so it won't fade? It feels like a cheat knowing they'll release this figure after acknowledging the fade issue AND and a seemingly appropriate fix for all future releases.

Well you need to keep in mind that this figure has been in production for 8 months.

No way in hell do I see Hot Toys delaying this figure so that they can fix the undies issue because they fixed it for the Iron Patriot.

That "fix" is simply not ready. Iron Patriot comes out in November. That's WITHOUT delays. No way is this new undies fix properly tested to be shipped out with the Mark VII.

Although what confuses me is that they gave the Mark V plastic undies but went to the rubber undies for the Mark VI. No idea why they don't stick to plastic undies to avoid the paint issue all together. :panic:

MKV came quite a while after MKVI. Agreed on the material for MKV's underoos though, they seemed like a winner to me?

Mark V had plastic undies? Wow, might be the same for Mk VII then. Mark VI was older than Mark V.

Forgot the Mark V hit the market after the VI.

Here's hoping they used the plastic undies on the Mark VII then. No reason for them to go back to the rubber undies.

I'd rather have limited articulation than pink panties. I never forced the mkvi legs up into the rubber shorts anyway for fear of damaging the rubber or paint

I don't think the rubber undies provide anymore articulation compared to having plastic undies.

Once you move the leg up to the point where it hits the undies, there is no going further than that regardless if it's rubber or plastic.

IMO I'm pretty sure they will go the plastic route for the Mark VII and then we'll see the new improved undies with the Diecast line.

The rubber does provide more movement, the rubber flexed and was actually mentioned in the "ground pound" stance photo that was posted.

Plastic won't have that give.
I meant more in the sense that it doesn't make a HUGE difference compared to the damage the paint fade does.

It would be a nice surprise if ht did change the undies material, if not, i hope mine won't fade cuz it can ruin the looks of this awesome figure

I'm assuming it's too close to release to pose the question on their Facebook page and expect a direct answer, although it would be nice considering they've already admitted to the issue. OMG will be the first one of us to know for sure, and hopefully sooner rather than later.

We finally see the boxes which is a great sign! When BW's box was revealed, she started shipping within 2 months. 2 more Avengers to add to my cabinet! :yess:

^ It's the first time HT showed a Mk. VII without all the added armours/weapons.....

The end retail Avengers product should be about the same (minus the Citauri body base).
