For the past seven years or so, i have been making model kit master patterns.
These are of the garage kit variety, hand made to plans i had to make myself, or eyeballing the design from a movie or TV show myself.
Some were verging on the 95% accurate level, others were less successful due to a lack of reference(Or enthusiasm) on my part.
In any case, you always hit a deadline and have to lock down what you have and get it out there.
I'm not trying to be an apologist for HT, but there will always be two camps with the consumers. Half will like the base item and will very much look forward to adding that extra 5% accuracy.
And the other half will complain it's not accurate enough.
No side of the arguement is wrong and, as consumers, if you lay down your cash, you have a right to grumble.
As for the eyes.
I just went back to the beginning of the thread to see who first mentioned the eyes.
The award goes to Spanbauer. He called it in July last year.
Anyone who thinks complaining to HT now will make a difference, good luck with that, lol.
On an unrelated note, the helmet and eyes look terrible.
