Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Also, I noticed there a slight gap in the mouth portion of the helmet (sorry, no arrows and circles) which could indicate a RDJ HS underneath.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Looks terrible. I'm contemplating in trading all of my armors for something else and seems like the MKVII sealed it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Chill out lads!
I know exactly what has happened here. From the movie, we know the "auxilliary boosters" on the shoulders must detach. Those will likely attache to the trailing upper end of the chest piece with magnets. If you check out those pics, it looks like not only is the chest piece riding far too low(To show us the grey clavicle area not show in any other shots), but also, the auxilliary boosters are sitting too far forward on the shoulders.
I reckon the person who has set them up has just attached the chest wrong and the boosters sit on that anyway.
Also, please be aware that till the product reveal, this is just a pre-production protoype. It could even be a 3d print of the current state of the Iron Man sculpt(And they just ran out of time before the con to get it 100%). Even though it's hand sculpted, i know several companies that take 3d scans of the sculpt in intermediate stages. In case a sculptor messes up, they can 3d print out a new version of where they were the day before and start again from their "save point".
So don't panic.
It's only a model...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

If the chest plate was off center, wouldn't it be obscuring the reactor in some way? :dunno

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

probably but it just seems kinda fixed there and not pressed in if u get what i mean, that's all i can think of to explain the ugly grey neck area

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I got it!! so the torso is moved forward so the piece is not standing upright, right? Im betting that clavicle area folds into the chest, look at the head/neck area.. this is probably done so that we can get better flight poses with the head tilted back! I bet you can push that down and into the chest and slide it forward, folding it in, (i hope this makes sense)

Just imaging the torso standing upright the neck would be tilted way too far back

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Looks like the chest armor is not fitted on properly. Sagging ****s.

Its the torso, not the chest plate hence the arc reactor not being displaced, the collar part will push down and sink into the chest and move forward, bringing the neck to a more upright position

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

i think we can all agree something is wrong with the way the figure is assembled (no pun intended :pfft:) When the torso is located correctly and the head area is properly centered over it it should look accurate. It will also reveal the rest of the ab area and stop him looking like he's got a hunchback. Still needs a bigger head tho, if they can see the Tong HS going inside the Iron Man one then the Iron Man one isnt big enough imo.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

you can see clearly the torso's wrong in this video

I want to know who poses these things... and I want to buy them a drink... with rohyphnol in it, then replace them and pose these properly

Agreed entirely. However not many here can make such a claim because most people have no clue whatsoever about how to pose these things. Never seen how you pose yours but hopefully you master this art to be able to say that.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Yeah you can see here that the torso should be a little longer and the chest plate doesn't expose any of the inner workings as well as the smaller chest rt window. It almost looks like in the Comic con pictures that the parts on his shoulder are pushed forward.
