Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Agreed entirely. However not many here can make such a claim because most people have no clue whatsoever about how to pose these things. Never seen how you pose yours but hopefully you master this art to be able to say that.

Not to tute my own horn but I worked for the canadian Sideshow distributor for a number of years and theres some on this board that have seen all the crap I had to pose for that buissness, Lol I would definately do a better job :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'm sure you would then. OMG certainly is one that does a PHENOMENAL job at it. But it is hard to believe how weak the posing is when HT's people set up these figs for events. I mean you'd think they want their products to be seen in their best light...but no. It's kinda like their English...it's...shall we say awkward?

I like this view. Reminds me of when he was looking at Loki's army as they were coming out of the portal. Issues aside, that looks like an IM suit. Very bulky and big.

i wish ht reveal this by this week please

Agreed! Nice pose! Despite all of the critics here, I really like the look of this figure! I wonder how bright that chest is going to be once it is lit up! For some reason, it looks bigger than the previous versions. (Could just be the pic angle too.)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

That angle does look good. It hides the long neck and that black thing below his neck that shouldn't be there.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Looks more like the chest panel is slid down -- see how low the arc light is, and how the bottom is below doesn't line up with the gold "ribs".

I think Wor-Gar has nailed it right there. What we are seeing is some sort of articulation, possibly designed to make a head change (or some such activity) that much easier.

Well spotted my friend! :clap :clap :clap :goodpost:

I know HT will fix it, but I hope that's not the compromise for having the "backpack" on.

I don't actually think there is anything to fix as such, just to push that chest-plate piece all the way back up into the rest of the armour.

Clearly the dip-stick that put this figure out, did not quite (Avengers) assemble it properly...

Thank you very much, I'll be here all week (when in reality I'd much rather be in San Diego)!

I dunno. It's not the chest plate that's droopy as its the abs that are crunched. If the chest plate were off, we would notice the RT not aligned.

It's the whole Torso section, not just the chest plate that's positioned wrong

Not trying to sound like a broken record, but I think HT's display team is the blame for a lot of the complaints. :horse

You're more than likely right. In addition, these are the prpototypes as well. But I was looking forward to being blown away by the sheer awesomeness of this figure. The MK VII currently has knocked the MK VI off as my favorite IM suit.

Although, I'm still excited, it set me back a little as they have had IM down pat. Not sure why the shown first attempt looks a little wonky.

Looking forward to the reveal.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Didn't they say they had the official designs from Legacy? How could they possibly ____ that up? This must be an early, ____ty prototype... it better be!

Sheesh. At the time of a convention, where you know that the pics to grace the web will make or break the sales. They oughta fire the guy

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Seems clear to me they put the chest piece on wrongly.

I will buy this Iron man, best design so far IMO.

After seeing this more, I have to agree! I like the bulky football player look of this armor! My only complaint is the silver in the thighs. Little excessive IMO. Like someone posted earlier, looks like the hard-drive to an Xbox. (That's no complaint towards HT, its the design...)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Deep breaths! Viking Spawn is 99.999999% likely right about this figure being incorrectly assebled for display. Take any of your IMs, mark II-VI. Remove chest plate. Shove it back on incorrectly at mid abdomen level. What does it look like? The pics of the Mark VII from SDCC, perhaps?? :rolleyes2
