:rotfl fear not I just hate seeing the ridiculousness of this company BBTS is scum, I understand the secondary market prices but BBTS isn't the secondary market, theyre a retailer and should stay out of that game

and a dude who is obviously in a really rough place getting ****ed over by BBTS for them wanting to make more than what he PO'ed it for is really just sick

My Thor, Loki and MKVII are on their way from the dat BBTS :lol so don't wish too much harm on the company :pfft:

I have one coming from BBTS, and after I saw that this figure was selling out and BBTS had screwed a member who got a QC issue figure, and telling them they had none to exchange. I immediately went on a search for another at a good price and ordered it when I found it.
I only want one, but I wanted to avoid the chance of disappointment after waiting so long and possibly getting a bad one and having to return it with no exchange option.
If both of mine are good I will just trade and or sell the other, and if one is messed up, I will return it and keep the other.

And God forbid if both are screwed I just get my money back and call it a day.

I wonder what it's going to plateau at after it's really sold out on the retail market?

Generally, any IM armour sells out fast, then doubles(Or triples) in price, and pretty much stays there until the time the NEXT armour is released.
Even then, it only drops down to just over double what it originally cost.
That's based on what happened with the MKIV, VI and what has happened since the VII came on the scene.
MKVI prices have dropped from over $600 to a little over $400(But stay at the higher end for MISB versions).

Reporting them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) I say will almost guarantee results.

When my X-Box Live account got hacked and I waited and waited past Microsoft's account recovery timeframes and constant customer service calls, I got tired of it and reported them to the BBB. I got a call from a Microsoft X-Box office ABOVE all the customer service people and had my account back in two days.

The key is to ALWAYS be professional, courteous and detailed in your handling of any situations. Keeping records is very important, especially copies of e-mails and the excellent recommendation of taking a photo of the in-stock product and time-stamping it AS WELL AS taking a photo of BBTS's return policy before they decide to change it at midnight to "get around" issues like this.

If the BBB can get a mega-corporation like Microsoft to fix issues, then I'm sure dealing with BBTS is a cakewalk.

Good luck. I'm really sorry to see BBTS has gone to this. It's one thing to raise prices, but to deceive their customers that they don't have stock available for replacements is unacceptable. BBTS at one point WAS better than this.

So last night it was $339.99 and now it's $349.99.

BBTS business practices reminds a lot of an overseas shop called Nippon-Yasan. They would sell the first initial batch at a reasonable markup then start ramping up the price. And on top of that these guys would go around town to all the other local shops who are selling it for retail, buy up all of their inventory then turn around and sell it at $100-$150 markup. Greedy as hell.

It does seem like I said earlier that this whole Iron Man/Avengers series of Hot Toys has gotten so popular, that these pieces are going up in price as soon as they hit the market, and even before in some cases.

I figure we all can agree that this Mark7 is a steal at 250. The fact that it's gone up so fast in price since hitting market, is because all of the stock is being snatched up as fast as they can list them.

I wonder what it's going to plateau at after it's really sold out on the retail market?

I disagree. In no way is $250 for a single figure a steal. A lot of people are forgetting that this was by far the most expensive Hot Toys Iron Man release.

The problem is that the secondary prices are so ridiculous that it seems great in comparison.

I remember only a couple years ago when the rare, out of production HT figures would sell for $200.

BBTS has always been good to me. They extended the 10 day deadline for me twice and when I got my City Hunter Pred he came without a disc holder on his leg, they responded quickly, asked for a photo and took care of the replacement. It was great service.

If they're really screwing people like this and it's not just a misunderstanding then that's rather unfortunate.

Has dorkmatter hacked your account? I'm afraid for you Smack my friend...

I'd love to jump on the "**** BBTS" bandwagon with you, but your signature is offering your extra figure for the exact same price they are.

The only thing I find deplorable about what BBTS is doing is that they won't exchange that guys QC issues. That is beyond reproach. The price they're charging for the figure now? They learned it from you Dad! They learned it from you!

You're trying to trade it for Hulk, who you're also willing to pay $350 for, so it means you'd sell Iron Man for $350 to buy Hulk for $350. So why are you mad at BBTS for charging that price, if you yourself paid that price?

you think I wanted to pay $350 for Mark VII? I would've loved to pay $300 for it and ecstatic to pay $300 for Hulk but this isn't reality. I would rather give my money or trade to a fellow collector then feed the retailers who are selling it for $350-$400 which ruins it for everyone. I'm a collector like everyone else. I'm not in it to resell and make money, just looking to fill my display case. So yes I am mad that BBTS is charging that price

I agree but they are booked up with a ton of IM3 stuff for the next couple years...and we have been waiting for a new improved MK III but that hasn't happened!:dunno
