Where are you getting/reading this from? All it sounds like is people "speculating" on how much this figure will go for. Who is "excited of adding more coin to there purse" here? Other than a few people wanting to trade for something who are you taking about? And except for the last page all the talk is about how everyone cant wait for the new figure.

And I'm willing to bet the farm If you had an extra MVII BD you would be right there with everyone else trying to get as much as you could for it.

market value sometimes is speculation, as in the case of the MVII BD. what one person thinks is worth $600, another may think it's worth $1000. and yet the next guy may not think it's worth $300. something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Yes very true, what $100 to one might be worth $1000 to another but what I was referring to was that it sounded like you were stating was that people in this forum were "hoping" the price will rise so they can make a quick buck.

Oh I can probably assume there may be quite a lot of forum trolls, much different than eBay.
If you want confirmation, send me a message on eBay and ill reply back. Especially I have my own store there, what's wrong with trading a mark vi ex for mark vii?

as a long time collector, i don't remember the value buzz of any exclusive or limited figure as much as this one. i think the amount of the people that wish to flip this outweighs those who are keeping it. please remember this discussion is pure speculation on my part.

There may be some truth to that and I think its in part due to the fact that this item was very limited and only open to certain markets. That and the fact that IM is selling like hotcakes. I think more people may change there mind and decide to sell this piece because of the huge demand along with the money they can get for it. Not to mention if they have the regular IM Mark VII its pretty much the same.

Hell if I could get someone to buy this piece for $1000 bucks I would probably do it :lol

Tbh I think it's the hype right now after the launch of IM3, non hot toys collectors now became hot toys collectors. This figure will most likely stay around the $450-600 mark for awhile...

After all its not some mark III gunmetal hype :/

Big difference between this BD and silly thing IMO. This figure is tied to the Avengers movie, and is very distinct and unique among all the other armors being fully battle damaged.

Silly thing is ridiculously out of scale and really appeals to a IM collector after ever armor. If silly thing is still grabbing $1,000+ now with the small amount of collectors wanting that, I think it is safe to say this piece will be right up there with it. The appeal of this suit is with IM and Avengers collectors so much more of a potential buyer pool.

After seeing the mark VII in color as good as that turned out ( minus the head) and what it is going for, this will safely be a higher priced if not the highest priced suit to acquire. Toss in the limited availability and how fast it sold out, the facts are pointing a double up arrow on the market watch.:lol

Funny you bring up silly thing. There was one on ebay over the weekend and I didnt bid because I was sure it would go for $600plus. Then, go figure the silly thing ends for $400.....i wasnt to happy the next day.

A part of me wants it, but then dont. Its so boring to look at. I really just want a clean example mech test because that figure is a beauty. Now, I do own the stealth mk iv, but only because I got it for dirt cheap.

First off, be careful with your words. I was simply making a projection and didn't state it with any excitement of adding more coin to my bank. Not sure how you inferred that from my previous comment (I didn't even use any exclamation marks :lol) :lecture

Secondly, the Mark VI Movie Promo retailed at $194 and is going for $600 plus on ebay right now. 3x the original value. I don't see why this figure won't do the same as it was only limited in the U.S. and a couple of other markets so the demand could be greater and hitting that $1,000 mark. :lecture

It's just a projection. I could be wrong or I could be right. :lecture

That "Sodomites" comment is atrocious. Anyone who in any way uses that word in context with collectibes is clearly out of touch and disrespectful.

Where are the Mods when you need them? I don't post very often, but geez that is awful. I don't understand how people can be so disrepectful to people they have never even met particularly regarding a collectible toy. Wow, just wow.

.. thing to remember when that happens, is that if another bid had been made, it quite possibly could have gone higher still.. sometimes its possible to luck out because a big sporting event is on.. or because of a public holiday, etc.. but equally I have sniped (much higher) bids on items that had been sitting at a low price for two or three days, only to discover that the original highest bidder had a lot of extra revenue sitting behind their holding bid.
