Yes seems like that way. I guess I have to get one through the damn resellers on ebay.

Really? Your going to support their flippingness at ludicrous prices? :slap

By the way has anyone actually wondered how some of these ebay sellers have mutiple quantities of this figure?

Does anyone not think Hot Toys is in cahoots with this sellers, that they are possibly all mates and say 'here you go, have a few, sell them for whatever you want and we will restrict its availability till you sell your stock, then we will lift distributions'.
its a big conspiracy i tells ya all! :rotfl

I would never pay triple the price on anything that is not out yet. No HT is worth that no matter how exclusive or htf it is. At the very least, with something like this that's in such high demand and sold out, waitlisting is a good idea. Other than that wait till it's released. You may feel differently about this figure a month or two down the line. I'm sure that when the regular mark vii comes out, there'll be extras for the waitlist and some at AE, BBTS, etc. BD mark vii will probably be parted out on ebay by HK sellers and you can get bd mark vii parts to supplement your regular mark vii.

It sucks to miss out on such a highly coveted piece. I've been there. I missed out on the 1st mark i and was tempted to spend $750 to 1k on ebay. I checked all over the place for the better part of a year. Then there was the 2.0 announcement. Prices on the mark i fell and even though I had the 2.0 on po, I got the 1st mark i at sdcc last year for $190. It is very satisfying to save yourself $600 to $800 just by waiting. More importantly, how crappy does someone feel to spend 1k on a figure only for it to depreciate that much?

Also, you never know what'll be announced and/or redone. There is always something out there that you'll want. There will probably be another movie promo edition or exclusive of some sort that you'll want more than this. And if not, the price will eventually level off to where it is much more affordable than what it's going for now. Look at the avengers mark vi, it's going for roughly $400 which is not too far off from retail of a current IM release.
Sorry for being longwinded, I just feel bad to all those who missed out on this. I've been collecting HT since 2008 and am hoping fellow members will read this and benefit from my experience.

Did you find one of these for a good price?

You know what's worth triple/quadriple the price? Mark III gunmetal

Mark VII BD with unknown amount of productions? Prob worth 1.5x the amount unless we are given a total amount made! C'mon hot toys

They never gave numbers on the gunmetal either, IMO none of these are worth more than what some else will pay, suckers born everyday man

Wasn't it 500 pieces?

But cause Avengers 2 is coming out, the demand for iron man products are increasing. Much like how mark I was sold out and now retailing at $300 a piece when it was $200 last month...

Best to pre order everyone!

Nope, wasn't numbered, the only one HT number were the 16 piece mk6 and the 3000, and a couple of their really early release like t1 kyle Reese and arny I think

I don't think any of the Mark III's are really any good to be fair.
My BD Mark III is not holding up well when compared to the later ones.

They need to repaint that Unleashed MII and get that out.

Straight repaint won't work because it has the rivets all over. But HT should (and will) re-release an updated Mark III, that is probably a minor modification of that Mark II.

Of course they will, my guess is they will re-release almost every one of these eventually.

And coming from someone who actually owns Gunmetal Grey mark III, it's not worth the prices it is going for on ebay. I bought it through Sideshow during SDCC 2009. Funny thing is, there were some left over that Sunday.
