You might want to get out of the Hot Toys game completely then if seeing it pushed back three months wasn't normal for you.

Same crap with the midas. Its just a repaint. You can even repaint it yourself with some gold paint.

Then again I'm leaving this hobby after five years. Use to wait tooth and nail for new purchases, just not worth the time or money any more. 1/4 batman will be last figure.

it's also more than just exclusivity. that helps but what makes it worth more is that it's iron man, their value always goes up! it depends on the character made i guess. you wouldn't see a maria hill exclusive or officer blake figure rise to that much a value as iron man (though i think some would pay loads for a maria hill).

i just think it's what a person is willing to pay. and that's why scalpers usually win. we want things. always have that need to be exclusive from others. to have something others don't have or to have something rare.

i had my own grail item in the batman toyfair exclusive. never regretted that purchase. though i wouldn't have paid more than i did which was close to USD$ 400. most expensive figure ever. will never pay more for anything ever again. well not on a single figure.

I am one of them. I don't care with the exclusivity HT offers ANYMORE. I rather now HT release bunches of figures for profit and I get the chance to own one or more. No scalper will agree with me
