So I was reading the thread and heard talk about not leaving figures in box for a long time due to the batteries. I haven't heard this before, and now I'm curious about some other figures. I still have the tabs in my Regular Mark 7, but do they leave after awhile?

Debate has been going on for awhile. Leaving the batteries in for prolong period of time, they will eventually leak and damage the figure.

I had two MISB MKVIs i deboxed a couple of weeks back to repaint the hip armour and there was no problem with those batteries.
I think there is a possibility that batteries MAY leak over time, but never any hard and fast guarantee that they will do it for sure.
I have seen the horrific pics of HT figures that have suffered from it, so i don't doubt it's a problem.
But i don't think there's a specific rule about what age the batteries will leak at.

Yeah I'd check it out. Two of the batteries were leaking and they were stuck together. It was a pain in the *** to take that compartment out and put the batteries back in but then again, this was my first time ever having to open one of these up like that.

There was no problem on the ones i opened.
I only deboxed them to repaint the hip armour which was suffering from pink panty syndrome. Totally unrelated to any battery problem.

Got my extra shoulder armor in so I took some time to mod, weather and install them. I like it.

Is your BD taller than your reg? My reg is taller than my BD!!!

For all the *****ing and complaining before this came out, this is one killer figure. Repaint? Yes. Bad azz repaint? Hell yeah!

. I thought that it was all about the Stark head at first but the helmeted look really grw on me too. This piece is up, down & all around dope!!!

I only opened them to fix the fading issue on them both.
One was sold to a collector in the US, and the other was traded to a seller in the UK for two Evil Superman figures.
I had to open them.

It's a great variant.
Which do you prefer? And have you sourced one for a decent price?
If you prefer the BD one, go for it!
They both have their merits. It just comes down to which you feel is the definitive look for the MKVII.
I love them both.
