Seems like Thailand is going to have 500 pieces for PO from 1st to 5th May 2013, limited to 100 per day for movie goers with Iron Man 3 ticket form from Paragon Cineplex.

i will be. i expect this figure to be $225-$250. the last IM promo SS put up for order was $190.

Completely agreee. This figure should be $250 tops, which I still think is too pricey. Expecting for it to be in the $230-$235, but hoping for it to be $220...or lower obviously

And it looks like we'll have to wait at least another week for this to go up...I just hope not next Friday, May 3rd. It will be veeeery difficult for me to order because I will be on a camping trip beginning that whole weekend and won't be back until Sunday, which it could very well be sold out by then

Since the movie is opening in several markets today, does anyone think Sideshow will put this figure up for preorder today?

It would qualify as being during the movie launch period as the stated time frame by Hot Toys so maybe it is possible.

I am thinking there is a chance, but veeeery slim. Sounds like the focus of the release is still in Asia right now. Hopefully, it'll come out soon.

I spoke to a rep at Sideshow today and they said that there is still no info on this yet. All you could do is sign up for email updates

Of course they say that. They are not going to tell anyone anything until its ready to be public knowledge.
I keep checking every day but at this rate it is looking like it probably wont go up for pre order until next Thur or Friday. Just speculation on my part but I think they will wait to do it on or right before the US release.

It's not acting dumb or playing dumb it's just sticking to the rules. Those that subscribe to the newsletter will be informed about it in due time. I imagine it also helps so that their servers don't crash.
