The guessing game is maddening. But I guess 3 pages of

$250, no $300, No, $225

Is better than the spoilers that some thoughtless members insist on posting!

Man, why doesn't movies get released here in North America first? We should be the ones spoiling it for them!

Hot toys page 107k fans or more.
3k or 5k or 6k won't make a difference! It is still a limited figure. Just image how many fans from those 107k+ would want that figure... then think again if 6k doesn't sound limited :p

Yeah sorry Jeff buy this kind of hit it right on the noise. If you just look at the sheer numbers of how many ht fans there is and if you look at all the prices there now charging for all the other ones its gonna be at minimum $260 but I still feel its gonna be more around 300 mark. And put yourself in ht shoes. You know the demand for these things, if you owned the company and was to put these for sale would you charge $240 or charge more? Especially when you know that people will eventually buy it? Of course your gonna charge more. Is this fair? Of course not but that's just business for you. If they have an opportunity to charge more of course they will. I don't agree with it myself but I do understand there reasons for doing what there doing.

I think to a lot of collectors (not just the ones inside here) wouldn't mind to be $225, $250 or even $300. If the price is $225, everybody is happy because everyone gets a chance to PO it at a cheap price..

If the price is $300, we would have maybe 1/3 of the collectors who refused to budge but the remaining 2/3 will be more than happy enough to buy it and maybe even more than 1 figure because there are more available now.

So in a way all I can say that HT is not at any losing end either way. It is just how much we collectors want that this figure.

:lecture Example:

3000 figures sold @ $240= $720,000
2000 figures sold @ $300= $600,000

Alright guys, what price would keep you from buying this figure? Where do you draw the line?

Why not compare using 3000 figures only? Like I have said, if you are not going to buy at $300, there will just be another Iron Man fan like you who doesn't mind spending another $60.:slap In fact there might be even more crazy Iron Man fans who are just queueing behind you waiting for you to give up the chance to PO it.

So who is the most happy among all of us?

with hot toys, limited means that they won't be making them forever. since none of us work for hot toys, how could anyone gauge the total edition size without an announcement? thing is with hot toys, they will be on sale for what seems forever, then one day they'll be sold out. IE: hawkeye, nick fury, every joker, etc.

you don't want to be caught without one because once they are only available on the secondary market, you won't be able to score one for a reasonable amount. IE: 1st black widow, whiplash, two face, etc. (retailers couldn't give these away. now they are selling for $300-$500)

i've been collecting hot toys for several years now and this has always been the MO. except of course when they announce the edition size from the beginning.

It will definitely be a win-win situation for everyone if the price is affordable and everyone will be able to get one but this has not been the case lately.

PO price is still not out yet so it can be at $240, $270, $300 or even $350 for all we know. It really depends on how much you like this figure and how much you are willing to fork out for this figure because no one can force you to buy it.

None of us will be very much surprised if the price goes beyond $300 right?

Yeah, if the price is $250, you will rejoice. If it is more than $300, you will just give it up and move along. At least you know this was coming.
