Have to say for some reason this figure isn't all that impressive to me. Cool for people who want it though.

The second I saw the price on this I knew this thread was gonna explode . I don't disagree though. The price came to me as a big time shocker. I assumed that it was going to be in the $350-$450 range but no way did I think it was going to be more than Monger, Robo & chair or ED-209. There's definitely something wrong with that; if nothing else, just because of the character in and of itself. A $500 fig of an armor that we caught a glimpse of? IDK man. This is great for the mega fan and the completest, but for this price... I don't see it.... and I actually really like the armor design and the flash of footage that he got in the flick

And you make good points Niko but most of the costs that you mentioned aren't covered buy the profits from this one release; they're covered by the profits from ALL releases in the works. This could have easily hit the market for $75 less

I know very little about all the costs involved, and I'm not one of the posters who claimed to. That said, I have a sneaking suspicion that HT could have priced this at $450, and they would still be extremely prosperous- and not alienate any buyers in the process. I bought the Monger from them at a similar price point, and pre-ordered ED-209 for $410, and somehow they managed to scrape along, the poor souls...

Coming from a manufacturing background 20 plus years ago, I can tell you that our costs on our highly detailed luxury goods did vary, however those costs were very very small.For example... if luxury product A had a cost to produce of $100 the cost of the " bigger better" product B was maybe $216.
But the retail selling price of B was always something like $350.
Meaning yes... Hot Toys probably looks at the market and the larger size of this release and adjusted the retail price accordingly.
Does Igor cost them way more to produce...not likely...can they ask a premium....yes...will they get that premium?

Doesn't even compare. IGOR had 7 secs of screentime in a mediocre movie and all he did was prop up a destroyed panel.

$500 is so far beyond over priced. Won't be getting this. Love the looks of it but not for that much. Should a been priced no more than $400 tops. Die-cast is $310 I'm guessing igor won't be. $100 more for the sheer size I'd understand but $200 more is just dumb, IMO of course, what do I know!?

I have ordered from there plenty of times and they've been great. I talked to CS there today and confirmed there is no NRD on Igor there. I have never cancelled anything with them though so I have no idea if there is a cancellation fee or not.

Hmmm alright thanks for the info man, I'm still curious about if they charge cancelation fees... If they don't then it's a no brainer for me to switch to them over bbts especially since they're cheaper and ship out of the same state as me so I'd get them a lot faster

In theory, when the clean slate was activiated, the IGOR should have blown up and the entire crane structure should have collapsed...but it didn't...

I'm so glad Iron Monger came out when he did. Or else he would have been something like $550. These has far less features and costs more than him. Craziness.

I ordered because I knew I would, but for crying out loud it's quite a bit over priced and doesn't even have an EX. HT is making so much bank on this line it's not even funny. But it will look cool in the setup no doubt.

Instead of SS's message saying "Congratulations" when you complete your order it should read "Thanks Sucka!".
