With the tooling costs for this figure, I could see HT releasing a Red/Gold version as a Convention or other exclusive at some point to try and maximize return on the investment (much as they did with the MILK War Machine)

people misuse the term "milking a product line" all the time. This is one of Tony's new armors in the movie. Why wouldn't they make it? IM is incredibly popular world wide. If they didn't make it, people would complain more that they didn't. Thousands of IM fans want to collect every armor from the movies. The armors are the most popular thing of IM.
And HTs are fans themselves, so i am sure they were psyched to make it as well.

Im not even an IM collector, im only getting the Avengers BD Iron Man, but i like to see what they do with all their figures. This will be a beast of a figure. Can't wait to see it!!!

The reality is if other figures sold well they'd be "milking" them too. If Man of Steel sells incredibly well you'll see every generic Kryptonian thrown in for good measure including concept art.
I have no problem with this except for the fact that I have a feeling it'll be too small.

Definitely a Power Pose I bet. Should be pretty easy for HT to pump out detailed, 1/6 scale statues for as many armors as they want to here, and just count the money rolling in.
