Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

:goodpost:

I hope they remove the Avengers "A" on the figure as well. Knowing them though, they may release a second "battle damaged" Cap with no "A" and Panther scratches on his shield :lol

:duff

I hope they don't make another figure, but knowing HT, they just may. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say they won't, simply based on the fact that they've never really essentially made two different versions of a Cap figure wearing the same suit from the same movie. They could easily have done so with A1 Cap, but they just included the battle damaged parts all in one.

I'm with Brainiac and hope that they just include battle damaged parts with the one figure, such as a separate BD shield with the claw marks, for instance.

I can't wait for this figure to go on PO. Definitely my most anticipated figure to go up for PO at the moment. As soon as I have this figure in hand, I will probably be popping off the helmeted sculpt on AoU Cap and putting the non helmeted sculpt on, and then leaving the masked sculpt on this figure.

looks like he will have an open mouth sculpt... from HT facebook

It's a welcome accessory but HT doesn't always succeed with open-mouth sculpts...

I hope that snarl is interchangeable.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

Looks like they were going for something like this. Possibly even based on this exact frame from this particular scene.

I actually kind of like it, as it provides variety from all of the other close mouthed, stoic expressions. It also kind of represents the feud between the two characters in this film, which I like. The only drawback is that it limits poses.

Worst case scenario, one could always just use the AoU helmeted sculpt.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

I don't mind the expression much, but I usually do museum poses... not sure how Cap would look just standing there with that sculpt :lol

Would be fantastic if they included a battle-damaged shield/accessories with the Cap figure instead of releasing two separate versions. Would be even better if they gave you the option to remove the A's on his shoulders. Here's hoping!

Yeah, I'm generally a museum poser as well. Although I do think I'd be able to find one that would be consistent with the expression on the sculpt. Although, another poster mentioned that it is entirely possible that HT will do with CW Cap what they're doing with BvS Bats, by giving him interchangeable mouth and eye plates. Definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Generally I prefer an all one piece sculpt, but it would make more sense than including an entirely separate masked sculpt with a different expression.

I noticed that the A's are indeed still on the shoulders. Between the two I would have preferred them to not be there, but I don't mind them.

Did I miss something or isn't the DW Thor Hs usually called the best Thor version?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

The HT teaser not doing much in terms of wanting those three figs. A shame as I want Bucky.......perhaps official announcement pics will stir a desire to purchase.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

The TDW Thor isn't a bad sculpt by any means. I just don't like the bared teeth, is all.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

I would be okay if they offered 2 HS's one for museum the other for action. But oh well I may get this one afterall

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

That's what I would personally prefer in lieu of the interchangeable mouth plates.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

Yeah the batman figures only have a very small portion of the actors head shown. The way caps helmet is done there's two or three times the amount of skin shown. Making it work with swappable plates would be pretty difficult. And the engineering would mean it just isn't worth the change in style.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

As mentioned, absolute worst case scenario is to just use the AoU masked sculpt on him for museum poses.

Interesting... is this our first look of an MMS/DC Mark 46 too? As I don't think the PP version can do that?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

It appears to be.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible Figure

Iron man armor looks clearly different from PP figure. Especially gauntlets.

I think there will be a Mark 47.
