I think someone one here said it could be something that Pym shrunk down to add to the suit. I think that would be pretty cool. I wonder if it's a bunch of Vibranium shields

As I've stated before regarding any scale maille suit, I'm going to wait until all the trailers for CW to release before making a determination on whether or not it will make an appearance. TWS trailers showed scenes of Cap wearing the SS and GA suits, so there was no surprise as to what suits he wore in the film. If all the trailers for CW show no scenes nor remotely any hints to a scale maille suit, I'd be almost certain it won't be in it.

First people on Facebook moan and complain that trailers "show the entire movie", then folks here say if you don't see something in a trailer it's not in the movie.

Hell, studios even now put altered scenes or even deleted scenes in trailers so I usually just save judgement on a film till I see it nowadays.

The promo art is fishy though. It's a clos up of the scene that marvel released and in that scene Cap does not have scales.

Asked around. The new art if from a snack box, and is an "artist interpretation of the previously released Cap:CW promo art"

There's also another piece of art that has the scales other then the tshirt

I may be in the minority on this, but even though the prototype figure has the Avengers "A" on the figure's shoulder, I'm actually hoping that HT makes a last minute change and doesn't include the A on his shoulders.

It seems like he doesn't have it on his shoulders for the majority of the scenes that were shown in the trailer and helps serve as a reflection of the discord within the team. Plus, the AoU figure already has it, so it would be kind of cool if this one doesn't have it being that it's a solo Cap movie.

This situation sounds similar to "The Avengers" Cap's costume on promo arts.

Yeah promo art is tricky. It's easy to see just how much changes and gets cut when you grab an Art Of book. And that's just what they publish. A lot more changes that doesn't even make those things. Even for Aou two key characters had changes. The ultron Sentry and Hulk. Heck hulk was grey at one point in the story writing.

The arts good for reference but I try not to get invested in any of it.

I think that's really likely
Especially given the similarities between AOU Cap. I'd prefer though if they added the BD parts to the figure instead of making another

Yep. Obviously TA promo art was based on the original concept art, probably was drawn long before Evans tried his costume for the first time.

In the first promo art for The Avengers, Cap's ears were out.

If I remember right, in the artbook it shows helmet tests and in one Evans' ears were out.

Yeah there was more then that. There where early items that had scale mail on the suit, or where Cap just looked different.

With Aou Hulk had different shorts in some products then the film and hot toy version ended up with. There was a tease of a grey hulk product and rumors. Stuff like this happens every film and people seem to forget it.

Don't forget this ...

And remeber the rumors for the new one are because of a fruit roll up box and a Walmart tshirt before you diss miss it as not a source for rumors..lol it's like the iron man stuff. Every new suit or movie is either scale mail for cap, grey/red hulk, or bleeding edge for iron man. Every film. Lol
