Does anyone have a side-by-side picture with the DC Iron Man Mark 3 and the iron Man Mark 46? What's the height difference between the two?

When I get my 46 in I'll definately pose them up together!

Now that is a great idea. It's a shame there isn't a way to do a rehabbing Rhodes.

That also had me thinking.. AIM was able to use the patriot armor to kidnap the president meaning he was in the suit against his will AND the mk 42 was able to be operated remotely.. so why was Rhodes having a tough time with his "new legs"?

I don't have a pic but the 3 is 11.80 and 46 is 12.59

Yeah the 46 is an absolute beast compared to the diecast Mk. III. Not only does it tower over the diecast Mk. III but the colors are all completely different and not just the reds, the golds, silvers and grays are as well. Also, I forgot how horrible the diecast Mk. III was until I took it out of my display to take these pictures.

First 2 pictures are just stock, the last 2 pictures are with Mk. 46 feet, chest and abs extended (wherea the horrible diecast Mk. III has none of those articulation points):

Thank you. Jesus that suit is underscaled..

Wow! That's a Mark difference on the height & proportion. I bought the Mark 3 coz I wanted a classic looking IM armor but had to sold it because of it's Shortcomings & once HT announced the DC Mark VI. VI & 46 will represent my classic & modern armors and that will be it for me for ironman.

Smart sell! Yeah the diecast Mk. III was such a huge disappointment to me especially since it was released AFTER Hot Toys had already incorporated the extending feet and the pull out "barrel" shoulders. From the prototype pictures, the diecast Mk. VI definitely looks to have most of the current articulation points.

Those are the first in hand photos of the 46 that makes the red and gold look better.

Man, this is the longest 3 weeks ever lol.

I love the Mark III diecast :) It's meant to be what it is and nothing more, so I accept it for its perceived shortcomings. I look at it as more of a functional figure rather than something that's supposed to have all of the bells and whistles of current Iron Man releases. I even bought the Stealth version. I think were they to approach the Mark IV in diecast, there's more potential for extra articulation.

That said, I do hope they explore all of the main suits in 1/4 scale. It'd be awesome to have a Mark III, Mark VI and Mark VII especially in that scale. A Mark XLVI would also be cool.

Anyway, looking forward to this diecast Mark XLVI releasing soon through Sideshow. I got the notice several days back. This really does look excellent!

Sorry but I really have to disagree about the diecast Mk. III. The mere fact that it did not include the extending feet was a problem especially since they had been using them for years prior (since the Mk. VII). And I do understand that HT intentionally made the Mk. III to do the ground punch with the swap out abdomen but the omission of the other articulation points even makes that pose look wrong. It just felt like a step back In my opinion.

As for 1/4 Mk. VI & VII, as much as I love HT IM, I don't think these 2 can be dethroned (even though they aren't posable):

I like my Mark 3. I have had it in the landing pose from the day i bought it, it looks great like that and height is a not an issue. I have dozens of other HT IM figures for other poses.

Oh I agree that the landing pose is great for displaying the armors at different heights as there are only so many poses that look "natural"; it helps with the diversity especially if you're displaying a bunch of armors. It's really the lack of the extending feet that bugs me the most because it was such a simple but fantastic engineering advancement for HT's IM lineup.

And yeah, I have one in a landing pose as well for diversity:

You could at least get one Iron Man figure Blinguskahn. Two might be pushing it though.

No but seriously though awesome collection!
