Wow ok the 3 looks quite small next to the 46.

Well I've decided I'm only going to purchase one more IM armour and it will be a 1/4 scale. I'd be down for the Mark 3, a WM or one of the IW armours.

Yeah the 46 is an absolute beast compared to the diecast Mk. III. Not only does it tower over the diecast Mk. III but the colors are all completely different and not just the reds, the golds, silvers and grays are as well. Also, I forgot how horrible the diecast Mk. III was until I took it out of my display to take these pictures.

First 2 pictures are just stock, the last 2 pictures are with Mk. 46 feet, chest and abs extended (wherea the horrible diecast Mk. III has none of those articulation points):

The Mark 3 does not have the waist flaps sticking up in the air like the 46 so it's better in that regard. Hot Toys ruined the 46 by doing that. If future Iron Man armors will get that horrible design feature it will be easy to pass on them.

Oh, I didn't realize that the Mk 46 had been ruined because of its waist flaps. Guess I'll cancel mine now. What a piece of garbage! Everyone at Hot Toys should just resign in shame.

Sorry but I really have to disagree about the diecast Mk. III. The mere fact that it did not include the extending feet was a problem especially since they had been using them for years prior (since the Mk. VII). And I do understand that HT intentionally made the Mk. III to do the ground punch with the swap out abdomen but the omission of the other articulation points even makes that pose look wrong. It just felt like a step back In my opinion.

As for 1/4 Mk. VI & VII, as much as I love HT IM, I don't think these 2 can be dethroned (even though they aren't posable):

That mark VII STATUE looks incredible ! I really hope Hot toys does this in diecast. Great picture bro .

No problem man, I wish I had one Iron Man figure haha. I agree with Sixxshooter that's an awesome looking Mark 7 statue. Thanks for posting those pics. I hope they get around to that armor in diecast as well as it's probably my favorite armor.

Seems to be taking a little longer than the Mark 3 WM to come in. I had that sent to me earlier than this...but I would guess that's about those Q/C issues.

You're joking, right?

What's wrong with the waist flaps?

They don't sit flat. It stick up so that unless you have the legs spread it doesn't look right. Seems like Hot Toys made the decision to design this figure for extreme articulation over astetics. At the War machine mark 3 does not have this problem

You sure it's not just yours?? I don't own the figure, but Iv'e seen tons of pictures and very few seem to have the flaps slightly open when in naturally standing poses...

No guys, the figure is ruined. I have also seen this flap. Once. During prototyping. And I passed out. Cancel your preorders now.

If the legs are together you can clearly see the flaps flaring out. It does not rest on the legs. Look and front view pictures
