Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

So after seeing some more shots of the XLV I think I'm content with sticking with it instead of cancelling and getting the XLVI. There is something uniquely badass about the XLV. That being said, no promises that I won't pick up the XLVI next year when it's actually out. :)

I've committed to both.. They're just released so far apart.

Plus, I know that by the time it comes out, I'll be yearning for a new one.

Not to mention it does look pretty awesome with all of those light points. I'm still happily surprised that they were able to pull it off and have it look so good.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Oh please don't! HT is making plenty of great figures from other lines and releasing multiple figures every month. Sure IM has been their cash cow but they've really been spacing the releases out. If anything, with 18 left plus the overwhelming majority of people believing that the MK. 1-7 will all be remade diecast, I'm sure IW2 will probably be out and on Blu-Ray before the entire HPP line is complete.

I was joking 100%

Ugh Sony needs to believe in Spider-Man :slap they're not giving the character enough credit.

True. But they've already rebooted the character and it didn't do as well as expected. Apparently their not smart enough to realize the problem lies with what's being done with the script, etc. I thought S1 & 2 with Tobey Maguire were pretty good, but that third one... Ughhh! If one more character started crying in that s$&tfest I was going to start killing puppies. I didn't mind ASM, but the 2nd one wasn't so hot. Maybe the presence of IM will at least do what they think...put butts in seats. But to me, honestly, I thought it was too soon after the Maguire movies for a reboot, and now their already doing a second reboot attempt...? This is almost as bad as when they kept pumping out one Star Trek TV show after another until people just got sick of it.

Just give everything to Marvel and GTFO :lecture
I thought Disney Marvel had "collaborative" rights to Spiderman? So Homecoming is just really a Sony film?

In the end, Sony has final say.

I'm willing to believe things could work out though, right?

They don't seem to believe Spiderman can survive solely on his own franchise anymore.

Oh no I'm sure it's gonna work out. Don't knows how to make smart business decisions and jumping onboard with Marvel Studios is a big one. They're getting some great support with the likes of Fiege and be a part of Marvel's plan and all they have to do is let Marvel use their character.

I mean I don't know the finer details but I think that's the idea.

Not Garfield Spidey, no. Not anymore. :lol
The fact they were thinking about starting their own cinematic universe after AS2 lol.. [emoji28]

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

I don't get the negativity with the RDJ news today. What's the point of having Spidey in the MCU if other characters don't show up in his film? We've had 5 Spidey movies that didn't have IM, I think he's had plenty of solo spotlight :dunno I have trust Marvel won't let RDJ overshadow Holland in his own film, these guys know how important Spidey is as a standalone character.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Well, I guess we now know that IM/Tony survives CW. :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

I'd like the XLVI but it sucks to know that by the time it's out there'll be a new armor announced more than likely.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Aside from reading the main CW event, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Spider-Man's comics before, during, and after the event. It was interesting to see Iron Man and Spider-Man's dynamic together. Not sure if RDJ's role in Homecoming will be anything like that but it'd be interesting to see him in a mentor role in the MCU.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Hope not, I hope he just shows up as Tony Stark no armor. It should just be Spider-Man's film

According to IGN he is expected to appear in the Iron Man suit so we may have a new suit incoming.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Off topic, and I'm not sure if anyone brought this up already, but it looks like we're getting newly sculpted repulsor firing hands. They look more natural and screen accurate.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Guys, don't you think Mark XLVI WILL NOT BE the ultimate (ONLY) suite in CIVIL WAR MOVIE, thinking of which every avengers ironman movie had minimum of 2 suits , and 1 we all knew before the movie and 1 that s introduced on the final battle (a more advanced, secretive , not known until the movie comes out ) .. Could be a reason why hottoys announced XLVI for preorder before the movie releases too

based on having seen the movie...no

Above based on seeing the movie...

Based on just the trailers-he's in the 46 during the mid film airport fight. He's in the 46 in the other fight with cap and Bucky. No indication of another suit

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Unless its a prequel set before Civil War and the SM movie sets up how he knows him?

According to IGN he is expected to appear in the Iron Man suit so we may have a new suit incoming.

Could be, though if my random thought of it possibly being set before CW (nothing says it has to be after) is in any way true then we could see the 46 again or possibly the 45.
