I was looking at them on eBay the other day - I do that sometimes :dunno ..and the prices haven't changed as far as I can see.
- I don't think the CW BW will have any affect, because it is seen as a 'solid' / successful release and it is long sold out, so it probably won't make any difference.

By the way, your signature contains my favorite version of Scarlett Johansson. If there was a smiling Johansson head sculpt, I would kitbash her in the karaoke scene.

I do love her in that movie!
- Made the sig gif myself :)

You could also try the custom forum for someone to do you a 1/6 smiling ScarJo sculpt for said kitbash. :wink1:

I recommend to a friend who has a WS Widow who likes this one to just get the head. It will be like a new version better HS. So anyone with a widow who likes this one just get the head once it comes out, its usually like $30 at OSK.

I was going to do that, but then you won't get the cool mini Ant-man figure, plus the baton weapons which doesn't come with the Avengers BW. So you're getting a better head sculpt and extras. I'm prob gonna sell my Avengers BW, hopefully get $200 for it, and eat a $20 loss when I buy this new one.

You might get more, I paid $250 for mine, but she was also never displayed. She was my first female HT, still might be my favorite. I'll never sell her, but I don't know if I need two Widows. This one looks almost dead on, so I'm on the fence about getting it.

This figure is awesome! Usually, I preorder Iron Man figures ahead of anything else with a new movie line, but this became my first PO in this batch of the Civil War figures yesterday. This entire line has looked really sharp so far and I could end up getting most of these. Debating on a new Cap since I love the AOU version I have, but I kinda feel like I need this Cap to complement the Iron Man from the same movie.

Too many characters from this film with not much of a break from the AOU line. Collecting from two back to back Marvel films plus Star Wars is a real hit to the ol' wallet!

And what you feel would be correct. :lecture :lol

As far as selling the first Avengers version, my guess is that, for those holding on to that figure, it might be better to sell sooner rather than later. If the CW version turns out as well as it could, there may be a bunch of Avengers figures on the market (which would drive prices down).

I switched the Avengers head on the AOU body and,for now,I like her very much but once this new sculpt comes out I'll probably buy the hs only and use it on the Avergers1 body....maybe...

I've heard some comments that the skin tones don't match, but I really like this Black Widow combination. The first Avengers head sculpt is still my favorite so far, but the CW one looks really nice too (I still prefer the short Avengers hair).

I regret not buying the POD. I had a chance, and now it's unlikely I'd get one (much like Bane) for a non-scalper price :(
- Especially when you can now pick up Dioramas like this:

:thud:

I regret not picking up a Bat-pod for near-retail prices a couple years ago. I still don't have the room for it, but it would make for a really nice display. Unfortunately, Bat-pod prices have really skyrocketed in the past year, and it doesn't look like they'll creep back down... Oh well, I still love having my Selina figure posed solo.

Well look at it like this: After CW, there won't be this many until 2018 / 2019 - Yes, there are Marvel movies between then an now, with potental DO WANTS (i.e Loki from Ragnarök), but you are not going to get this line up, or better put this many releases for at least 2 years so.. ;)

This is going to be my 3rd Widow from Hot Toy's :yess: :lol

With regard to the Point 1: I don't see it. A lot of people still love the A1 suit, it has a decent sculpt, for me the best until now. Yes WS was good, but I just didn't take to the sculpt. I'd be more concerned if I owned that, then the A1, irrespective of the latter being the older of the two.

I would be very surprised if the price significantly dropped.

Bat Pod: I hear you. :(
I picked up my Selina from a Con in Manchester England and around the same time, there was a POD for sale at basically retail price. She's perfectly fine as a stand alone figure, but I do love her on the POD.

Maybe one day...:lol

I feel like the CW version is a full upgrade to the Avengers version in a way that the WS version wasn't (mainly the head sculpt), so that's why I feel like it could end up replacing the first Avengers figure (at least among those who didn't upgrade to the WS figure). I'm not sure how much that would affect prices (I don't see a huge drop in value, maybe $20), but I completely agree with you that the WS version is much more likely to drop in value (though it's already rather low).

A few years ago, I had a chance to pick one up on ebay for retail (or maybe a bit below retail) after various discounts, but I held off because I thought prices would continue to fall (they had already started decreasing at the time). I was clearly very wrong about that. :gah:

Like you said, maybe one day. :)

The new head is really cool but nothing really better than AoU version...

I presume you're sticking with the AoU version, so that's what you're telling yourself? :lol

Nah, I'm just kidding. I personally feel though that this is the best sculpt of her thus far. However, I think my favorite overall figure of her will probably still be TWS version though.

I dunno... I feel as though at some angles this new sculpt is great where as at other I still see the ol' deer in the headlights look and decent likeness.

IMO doesn't seem all that much better than TWS version or even AOU ( with the exception of the hair)
