Not sure why Batman fans have to turn on each other. IMO there hasn't been a bad Joker yet. After Suicide Squad I thought I liked Leto more than Ledger but after watching the TDK trilogy again a couple weeks back I'd go:

1. Nicholson
2. Ledger
3. Leto
4. Romero

Pretty amazing to have one single pop-culture icon of fiction played so well by no less than four individuals over five decades.

Leto doesn't even qualify to me. Just not a good performance and I'm normally against recasting especially for such a major character but I'd have no problem if he wasn't brought back.

Not counting Hamill since he's never physically portrayed the Joker. I'm really hoping to see Letoker go up against Batfleck.

Also, wasn't Leto's introduction scene technically the "I need a machine gun" Arkham Asylum therapy scene? I thought that part was good, along with him breaking out afterward with his costumed gang.

I count Hamill because the voice is so iconic and perfectly fitting for the character. When I read the comics that's the voice I imagine in my mind. Same for Conroy as Batman/Bruce.

Quite frankly, Leto was cast on potential and name, I think. If they wanted to really drop a true Joker, they would have brought in Troy Baker who voiced him in Arkham Origins - that would have been the way to bring in a Hammil-esque Joker. OR, as people have stated many times before, Willem Dafoe would have made an excellent, older Joker.

I'm glad they screwed up SS's Joker's introduction. Leto is a good actor when given some meat. It lets them see the outcry and fix it before Joker gets more solo attention. Even if he doesn't show up until Harley's movie or a Suicide Squad sequel, it gives them a chance to fix things.

Haha, those of us waiting on CW Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier thought much the same thing! he was due back in August IIRC; its now mid-October and we are still waiting.

Harl is way more complicated than he is, the wait for her is going to be monstrous. She has way more accessories, she has tattoos I mean we are going to waaaaaiiiiiiiit for her.

I'd be delighted to be wrong, but wont bet a dollar on it. Hell, they're even late with bare-bones Leto Arkham Joker right now.

I dunno. I guess aside from the tattoos she doesn't seem like that complicated of a figure. The outfit isn't anything too crazy and she has pretty basic accessories.

Beside developing new body etc maybe they don't have infinite number of factory lines to push out every figure asap, but they have to follow release plan. Just a guess ...

When I started collecting, they didn't do that many figures a year. Now it's A LOT. I think they're adjusting everything. It takes time. Patience is a virtue

The new body, tattoos, new outfit, new accessories, and the new sculpt of course. Doesn't seem like a figure that can be rushed out.

Not saying rushed but most of their figures aren't a year and a half out from announcement like this one. It went up in July and won't release until September next year (and that's barring no delays). It just seems like an unusually long turn around time.
