Hot Toys MMS429 - Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker

Han and Leia in Endor gear I could understand, because those outfits are what I would consider to be "RotJ" Han and "RotJ" Leia. Their definitive looks in the film, basically. Luke in his Endor gear isn't what I would consider to be "RotJ" Luke.

God, I hope PC isn't in trouble. I still find they best suit my budgeting needs, They have AfterPay, PayPal "lay-by", I like their pennies and early-bird pre-order prices too. I'm still blaming those pesky Pop Vinyls for their woes. Imagine keeping up with what seems like 60 releases a week. Can they really be selling all the franchises they represent?
Anyway, I hope my Luke turns up in the New Year. He will be my definitive version for my collection. I doubt I'll get the Endor version, even though I would get the Leia and Han Endor versions.

PC is the only thing standing between us here and international shipping costs.

I think the only trouble PC seem to be in is Pop related/induced in terms of distracting them more regular websire updates and replying to customers. Their supply of Hot Toys figures matches other Australian retailers as they are all dependent on Ikon Collectables getting the stock in.

Was taking some photos of another figure today, and thought the light on Luke looked good, so I took some quick shots.
The sculpt has really grown on me over the past months, I initially wasn't impressed when I received him.

Wow, he does look really great there. Lighting looks perfect and love the body proportions right there. Outfit looks good too. Did you leave the fat suit on?

It is the best Hamill sculpt they have done. None of the others, including DX07 look as accurate as this ROTJ version.

DX07 is close though but side profile is off to my eyes.

I dont see the point in buying the deluxe the standard is the definitive ROTJ for me.

Hot Toys seem to be doing this lately , look at EP7 R2D2 , i git him because i thought would be the only one. The they release the Deluxe one , so now I am stuck with the force awakens one which does nothing and wow factor isnt there.The EP7 one is now considered worthless to many people.

At least they've reserved the Jedi cloak for the first release, that's a value-add.

I have the first ROTJ Luke on preorder at Popcultcha and it's been delayed till this month. Wonder what their policy is in these situations?

Yeah for me the Jedi cloak is THE iconic look for Luke in ROTJ. If they were to have included that in the DX version then I would have seriously considered pre ordering it. As it stands I’m happy with this release and have no real interest in the sand storm version of Luke that failed to make the final cut of the film.

Thanks man. Long time no speak! I removed some of the extra padding of the fat suit (there are pieces of foam sewn in that you can remove), and reduced some fabric from the stitching here and there to flatten it out, but overall kept the thing on.

I already decided this will become my Endor Luke and the new Deluxe will be my Jedi Luke all around

Yea man, hope all is well. My Luke should be coming in tomorrow so I’ll look into removing the foam like you did.
