Anyone else not dig the cardboard topper on the stand? Would be cool if there was a custom topper that looked like Mustafar or something...

I really wish Hot Toys would stop with the cardboard toppers. Just do an actual diorama base or at least screenprint something on to the actual base. I actually liked how they did a lot of the Star Wars bases before with the mostly grate flooring look for a bunch or sand/snow bases for a couple. My deluxe Jyn has the cardboard topper and I just left the base with nothing on it (basically looks like black flooring). My Jedi Luke I put the Jabba’s Palace style insert on but I think I might order a custom base for eventually from Cocoboloboy.

very close to giving up gettin reg for sculpt and attempting to sell rest of it. cant afford both and they charging darkside soon, gahhhhhhh. jeeeebus h.

again grats, i would be very happy and can imagine you stoked all set. tryin hard to do same as you. darkside with reg head to switch out.

I’m not a fan of those. They come across as a lazy attempt at a dio base to me.

They will pop up again. I put in a lot of effort finding one also. Really, thought it was a glitch when I saw it.
I have the regular Anakin base as well. Guess, I just need the Dooku saber and Id have both versions technically.

Really great figure despite the character not being my favorite. Decided to adhere the topper to the base but slightly fudged it. Doesn’t look too bad though. Really happy I decided to get him though.

I’ve had this figure for a few weeks now. I am a die hard OT collector, and I don’t really even collect 1:6 anymore(I have owned quite a few HT SW figs but have since sold them off) I am more of a 1:1 and prop/helmet collector.

That being said this Anakin figure is a true work of art. I am blown away by it. Easily the best SW figure HT has done up to this point. The likeness to Hayden Christiansen hand is ridiculously good. Buy this guy while he is available at retail. He will pair nice with the eventual AOTC version

I'm right there with you, Jack - this is a great figure. I put the Sideshow cloak on him - it's a little bulky, but I've always liked how those SS cloaks could be almost "molded" around the figure-the fabric is really good for that.

I can't wait until the HT Kenobi is hereto join him...

Gone through this entire thread and enjoyed all of the images people posted in here. Broke down and ordered Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Dooku. I needed that throne room duel scene. Easily my favorite fight in the entire series. It will be so nice to replace my Anakin and Obi-Wan customs, as well as the Hasbro Dooku.

Then I proceeded to order Darth Maul and will be probably order Yoda too. It sucks that all my SW grail figures are coming in 2019.. Though I can't wait for the inevitable Sidious/Palpatine set and Mace.
