Early in this thread someone mentioned "crumbling leather" on their SSC Anakin and I recently watched a YouTube video that showed a Nick Fury "leather" coat doing the same; with the "leather" on this figure I was wondering if this is a common issue after several years? My figures are in a temperature controlled environment in museum poses and I haven't had any problems, but I was wondering if it's something I'll eventually experience? I've only been collecting for three years or so but I was surprised to see the damage on the Nick Fury figure.

I'm pretty sure the more humid the environment is the more likely that is to happen. Sucks for some one like me who lives in Florida, but it's the risk I guess I gotta take

Yeah, I just added two dehumidifiers to my basement as I noticed some moldiness on my Spike PF "leather" coat. Very minor and easy to remove, but if I hadn't noticed it, I'm sure it would've deteriorated quickly.

Probably been needing to do the dehumidifier thing for a while. I have 150gal fish tank in the next room and I have to cover the top with a towel to absorb the moisture that it puts out.

Gonna try and grab 2 this week or one big one.
