I'm not a fan of the prequels, but I really like how Anakin looks and watching the Clone Wars for the first time (currently) is making me like the character more. It's a great looking figure, so I don't feel bad about ordering it.

Maybe it's just me, but I have no issue ordering figures of characters I find cool or important even if I don't like the film =P

Same here. Although I do like RotS as a film and is the only film of the PT I like, and it's a RotS Anakin, so it works out. I wouldn't get an AotC Anakin because in addition to not liking the film, I also don't like his look in it.

Though RotS is the best of PT, I still feel transformation of Anakin doesn't seem alright.

I don't get how anyone says EP I is worse than AOTC, that movie was so boring and awful!

TPM was ok, Maul made the movie. ROTS is my favourite of the PT, but I agree Anakins turn to the darkside was too feeble and sudden!

AOTC is the stand alone movie and the “backbone" that puts the entire PT on the map due to the CLONE WARS cartoon. So much of TCW identity spawns from AOTC (characters, ships etc.)

That cartoon makes the PT so much better. I wasn't a huge PT guy, other than ROTS, until I watched The Clone Wars.

Problem is all that hard work by TCW to make Anakin a believable and complex character is completely undone by ROTS when he is once again the petulant, immature child of the previous movies.

Cut him some slack, he's having the worst week of his life, lol.

My issue with ROTS or any of the prequels was that name Vader. Up until Palpatine said “from hens forth you shall be named Vader” I had never thought of when “Vader” would come into play. It seems like a missed opportunity for emotional connection to just have the name “Vader” be the first thing to pops out of Palps head. WTF is a Vader?? What if in TPM or ATOC there was a planet, city or person called Vader. The destruction of “Vader" could have been the mark or “Point of no return” as a reminder to Anakin (now Vader) of why he choose the Dark side. Not “I pledge myself to you”!! For example he should have been called “Darth Windu"

The thing is, Anakin loves Padme and is ready to take every measure to save Padme, OK. He does not want to kill Windu, but he does in order to keep Palpatine alive who can save Padme, OK. He bows to Palpatine since he has the knowledge to save Padme, still OK. He kills the younglings, seperatist leaders as Palpatine orders, if unwillingly still OK. Then suddenly he begins to defend Palpatine, that's where the movie drops the ball. First, if he has really completely turned to the dark side, how can it be in such a small time (Even his motive for saving Palpatine is to let him save Padme, not his admiration of him over the Jedi Order). Second, if he has even little internal struggle why does he defend Palpatine to Padme and Kenobi instead of saying "Look, I did not meant to do what I did. But in order to save Padme I have to do what Palpatine orders"? The transformation is so sudden.
From another view it can be said that Anakin was always closer to Palpatine and he stopped Windu since he thinks Palpatine is right. Even this would be more logical but his attitudes during those events suggests that his only motive is Padme.
Another plot point, why did he chop off Windu's arm while he can just block his saber (as in AOTC when saving Obi-Wan)?
And yes, for AOTC, his character should be more like as in TCW. I don't expect him to behave as Obi-Want behave Qui-Gon but he was so arrogant in AOTC. Actually he had more dark traits in AOTC then ROTS.
Finally, since he turned to the dark side and should be more furious, why does not he get angry when Palpatine indirectly confirms that he lied to him when he tells "Only one have managed to give life. Together we can solve that" contradicting his previous saying "Only from dark side you can learn that" meaning that he can teach him that?
But overall, RotS was the better of PT. Maul, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan saved TPM. Obi-Wan limited the damage done by Anakin in AotC. For RotS, most of them was good except that sudden transformation.
