It will probably be looking slimmer when it's shown at SDCC. I'm sure i will pick this up but with a year to go i am not in any rush.

Interesting list, So you're not interested in this?

That's at the top of mine. :naughty

Funny how Leia's gold bikini takes a lot of flack but this gratuitous little number gets a free pass. "No, it accidentally got torn." The same way t-shirts will sometimes get accidentally wet.:lol

Water treatment for the robes may help.

Will probably work on the eventual HT torn-Padme too.:dunno

The HS is short and fat compared to Ewan, who actually has quite a narrow face. Not sure if it's because HT has trouble with beards or what, but pretty much everything below the eyes looks like he gained an extra 40 lbs. Even though it's a Ewan/Alec mix, the SS Mythos sculpt seems closer to the shape of their faces I think.. Kinda bummed as I was really hoping they would nail this.

Wow, there's also a Count Dooku in the pics.

Where’s the beard stroking hand?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)

This one has me torn. I already have a repainted, body swapped version of the Sideshow Episode II Kenobi and it is a great representation on Ewan.
This is better but is it £250 better. But then I would get baby Luke which would be a quirky extra.

I am certainly in for Padme and Dooku as they are my most wanted from the PT.

There are so many OT figures that I still want too that are yet to be made (RO too).

What’s that little transmitter thing he comes with?

Jedi communicator, used in all the prequels, one of a handful of “utility belt” accessories Sideshow also included, and the film prop was built up from a lady Gillette razor.

Ohhh copy that! Thanks! Shouldn’t Anakin have come with one??

id be very interested to see that Ep.2 obi!!

Yay!

This confirms battle droids from Hot Toys! Finally something other than the short necked Sideshow creations.

Battle droids ?

That is the sign of General Grievous is coming shortly wahaha.. Hot Toys just gave us a hint

I'd love to see an HT Episode 2 Obi-Wan, While Trevor's sculpt for Sideshow came out really good, it's also older and even the best paint on it, the Clone Wars figure, doesn't hold a candle to HT paint. I actually love the Ep 2 look, when it's Ewan's natural hair, though even that had a few variations over the course of the movie, my favorite look of all is in Padme's apartment, but his arena look is a good option too.

I'm going to have to get this one to go with Anakin. He looks amazing.

Haha yeah totally, soon they’ll tease us with an invisible hand bridge diorama that will never make it to the market [emoji23]

Anyway, hopefully Hot Toys decide to do a super battle droid (since sideshow never did theirs) and a few other prequel characters!

Best shot I have to hand. As mentioned it isn't as good as the new Hot Toy but it doesn't look too out of place when put with my other Hot Toy / Sideshow figures. The original paint job did though (as most old SS stuff does). I completely swapped out the RFT and Endor soldier head / body, and it made a vast difference.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)

I've passed and still plan to pass on Anakin. Outside of Jabba the Hutt, my Star Wars collection is limited to a hero and villain per trilogy, with Obi-Wan and Maul for prequels, and Luke and Vader for OT, Emperor being one exception.
