While Ewan kept his hair and beard pretty consistent through production, it varies enough that some scenes and shots may look much closer to the figure than others, hard to be perfect, and an Episode II Obi-Wan would be even harder as his hair really varied in that film.

This likeness is incredible! Hot Toys have been blowing it out of the park lately!

Huh...Glad to hear people like it.....I just don’t see it , but we all know that this happens from time to time....

I think my issue may be bearded sculpts.....I really have not liked a single one yet.

The possible exception of Dr Strange. But that’s not a full beard.

As good as these figures get, it’ll probably be many years to come before a technology exists to replicate something as large as a human head at 1/6 the size with exact replication, facial hair and hair in general can be well pulled off but always stand as the tell tale you’re looking at a Toy vs a human.

Sculpt looks great to me.

I noticed Hot Toys sculptors tend to idealize features (ie the bigger eyes on their TFA Rey figure among many other examples) as opposed to a dead on likeness.

However this seems very spot on. Can’t wait to get mine.

Beautiful sculpt.

It is not about the sculpt likeness or overall figure quality that bugging you.

It is because you DO NOT like the movie and these characters so there will be always the reasons to complain/not to buy.

Search your feeling and save yourself $500+ on both Obiwan and Anakin.

I really hope I am done with 1/6 when that day comes. I would hate to think I'll be replacing my $250 figures with $425+ versions.

Regarding likeness, I was watching ROTS last night and one thing I noticed is that Ewan’s beard was so light, in many shots it almost looks transparent, where all the official shots look all brown.

The painter’s personal shots look lighter, but it could stand to be even a bit lighter.

I dunno , I realize it’s the usual point of view discussion, but I am really not seeing the likeness at all.

I think he sculpt it’s pretty weak , especially compared to Anakin....

Is it just to soon and people are still too excited about it to see any flaws?

Glad they are making it but they sculpt is , to me, a 7 at best.....

I passed on it for now. Which makes Anakin a pass also.

You guys really think the likeness is great?

I read this and I actually think you are joking.

I dunno. I think the likeness is passable but far from spot on. I still would like to have him and Anakin.

not trying to get involved with the disputes but personally I agree that the sculpt is remarkable.

My only gripe is that many other characters had to fall victim to "tinkering" before HT got on this roll. (Luke, Han, Old Ben)

Don't worry, they'll revisit those...when they're $300 a pop...

That's the unfortunate reason that I'm not collecting any of the New Hope figures.
