I think that you make a great defense for this sculpt. I bought this figure at a stupid after market price. That said, it's not the strongest likeness. As others have stated, there's a significant difference in the eye shape, eyelid positions, and eye brow. The temples are slightly wide, and of course, the beard could've benefitted from a different sculpture technique.
I find that the most marked difference is the nose. Hot toys achieves stunning likenesses, but they are very idealized, and they fail to capture human imperfections in many instances. Alec Guinness's nose is crooked, with the bridge broken slightly to the left. There's also a bit of an a-symmetry to his mouth/jaw-alignment that gives him a bit of a smirk. It's these little imperfections that capture the true likeness of someone, and this sculpt just fell short of the mark.
