I guess they thought it's best to release him earlier before everyone forgets about the character, but I can't theorize what's keeping Iron Whiplash from being launched.

But hey, an awesome figure is an awesome figure regardless if the movie wasn't as good as everyone expected, and this is one cool-looking figure.

I'm really surprised this got bumped up. I was already thinking of cancelling this, the fact that it got moved up kind of just seals it for me. I liked the character and the figure looks fantastic, I just don't like it enough to drop the cash on it.

Nothing official. Probably Hot Toys is having trouble with the Diecast IM. They delayed Iron Patriot and Red Snapper( not diecast) . 2 delayed 2 antecipated makes sense. They will clear their schedule with the release of "easier" figures,so they can focus on "harder" releases. Just my opinion.

The super secret marvel project could be a short to be added to a dvd release of Thor.
Although i am not the diehard "cry like a baby because of Trever Slattery" Mandarin fan, i picture it like this:

Trevor is under arrest and sitting in a small cell which is barred off in the middle of a larger room with guards around the outer walls with rifles, and he is drinking a beer watching the footie match. He's got his Man U scarf over his head singing and laughing because his team is winning.
The guards sneer and shake their heads at each other that THIS is The Mandarin...
There's a pop. The lights and TV all go out.
There are sounds of a scuffle.
The lights come back on.
There are a team of baddies standing there and the guards are all down. Trevor stands up and sheepishly inches towards the(Now open) cell door with a look of terror on his face towards the baddie in the doorway. He is showing all the "trevor-isms" and looks very afraid
The baddie drops on one knee, with an ornately carved wooden box in his hand raised up to Trevor.
Trevor lifts the lid of the box and there are ten rings lying on velvet.
Trevor's face changes into a malevolent sneer and the rings all fly onto his fingers.
He sweeps past the baddies(All on one knee now), and says(In the IM3 Trailer voice):

"It would seem that phase 2 is well underway. Come. We have work to do"

That would make this figure go from an easy pass to a must have. Wish we would know what this short is about before they ship this.

Like I said from the start, the short could influence sales of this figure. Maybe they've seen the short or know what it's going to be about, and are trying to get this figure sold before it is released to the public... but that's leaning towards negative thinking of the shirt though. Hopefully it will turn out good.

it's all false news from plastic enemy, he quote the line from the movie in a teaser shot for OSR and everyone loses their ****. Especially that "hot toy community" fan site, they are ridiculous! always spreading rumours and doing stupid interviews. They made the "coming soon" image almost as soon as PE posted the teaser.

To my knowledge it ain't coming till next year, just chill the ***c out guys..
