Hi guys,

I was just wondering where I can order the "exclusive" version with the crushed helmet?

Cheers.

Sideshow Collectibles is the only place in US to get the piece. You'll have to get on their waitlist and hope it converts. I don't know about asian market receiving the exclusive version. Otherwise, it will show up on good ole ebay.

I think pre orders in HK get them as well but the ebay sellers selling the first batch will not leikly include it and sell it seperately to make some extra $$ :(

Anyone has any development on when this bad boy is finally shipping? How about the head sculpt? Any news on that?

I got the Mark II Exclusive from Eric.

actually he still had at least one more as he offered it to me but I decided to skip it... let's see how long and if I can resist it :D

Cheers guys!! :) I am glad that I skipped the first Mark III version. That paint job just didn't rock my socks. I hope the paint job on this bad boy is as nice and shiny as the promo photos, I need this to complete my Winston shelf!!

I agree. The (hopefully) improved paint job is probably the main reason I am buying this. All the other improvements are great, but the promise of a better looking Mark III cinches it for me. The stickler is the battle damage paint effects. Hopefully it'll look realistic.

I compare figures released early last year to figures released early this year and HT in the span of a single year made great strides. I have no doubt the figure will rock on all levels (including realistic paint).

I also ordered this because the pictures of the paint app looked so much better. Hopefully the production pieces look as good as the prototype pictures.

I'm wondering if HT is redoing certain aspects of the figure and perhaps that's what is taking so long. There are so many moving parts and little items that perfect QC really is a must.

Have any of the previous IMs seen QC issues? I was under the impression that the mechanics have not really changed much except for the chest plate now being removable? Of cause all the BD have been added and this is one awesome piece!

From a glance, the BD figure looks almost exactly the same, and the base structure is. But the way most of the ancillary bits and pieces work has been altered. The elbow articulation is different, the arm missiles are different, the way the arms actually open up are different. Same goes with the calves, the air flaps on his back are different and contain metal parts this time. The shoulder missiles seem like they'd require a bit of care to move and I'm not even sure how one should go about removing and installing the chest plates. Maybe there's a magnet? Or just some simple clips?

As for QC issues on previous IM figures. There weren't many, but some people had paint issues on the Mark II and there were some reports of broken hip/upper leg joints on both the Mark II and III. Nothing widespread though.

Whats wrong with the original Mark IIIs paintjob? A few of you are citing an 'improved' paintjob as something you're looking forward to. I have the original but I'm not a massive Iron Man fan - is it an accuracy thing?

One thing I can't help but notice on the 1st Mark III is the softer midsection is a slightly different shade to the hard plastic - I suspect thats going to annoy me as the years wear on as the colour discrepancy will probably only get worse if anything.

Oh wow a complete redesign and metal parts even?? :D I assume it wasn't before but certainly they are doing a lot more magnetic parts now and it works well :D
I am so excited and every month is my birthday!!!! I have never been teased so much! At least this month is going to calm down a bit so I can divert some budget to VDay

Yeah, the abdomen was a slightly different shade of red. A lot of people didn't like how dark the red armor was on the original HT Mark III. It was almost maroon when the film suit was more a 'hot rod red'. Also, almost the entire figure was simply cast red plastic, so there wasn't much paint, which made the figure look a bit too much like plastic and not a metal suit of armor. The Mark I and Mark II benefited from they're armor color (wrought iron and silver), but not so much for the Mark III.

I hope the BD IM is fully painted, head to toe, instead just colored cast plastic.
