I like that letter from Hot Toys.

It's pretty much saying to fans be fair, be realistic, stop with the conspiracies and we know WTF we are doing. :)

That was a great response from Hot Toys. These guys know what they are doing. Some things are out of their hands. Hot Toys knows more about what they are doing than people on this or any other board. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of this hobby and in doing that they may stumble along the way but they are still the driving force in this hobby.

Yeah, I agree. Really not all that big of a deal for me but surely a bit of a disappointment. I doubt I'll pose him with flipped up facemask all that much anyway but good to know there is a face in there, also that there is a Mech Sculpt to plug in but I don't even know if I'll do that. Still could be a Masterpiece compared to the V1 M3. HT did all they could and they learned a hard lesson.

I'm more interested in the newly engineered suit, working parts, paint apps, etc. really pumped to see the new Prod and in hand pics in a few days.

Also, whether HT will include a Golmera backdrop display... I think they know they owe us at least that now.

Tried manipulating the headsculpt. :D

Do you think we'll ever see it?

I dunno HT are getting pretty good.

I hope that response from Hot Toys hammers home the fact that these guys listen, and take on board positives and negatives and continue to push the boundaries with each release. The sad obsessives who cry over things like this need to take a look at themselves. It's embarassing.
Hot Toys are awesome in my opinion and should be applauded for their honesty not derided if the product doesn't meet our exact expecatations. We're not forced to buy anything and they owe us NOTHING..

Here's a suggestion... They could use the prototype head for their TT nude bodies.... that would guarantee plenty of sales, no licensing issue, appease RDJ/Kojun sculpt fans, mass produce a Kojun sculpt, not be accused for using it for IM2 figures ... but may create bad blood for their future licensing.

Why would a TT nude be wearing a Mark III helmet? ;)

From the Hot Toys Facebook page

...

to provide fans with a more well-equipped product with more sophisticated and specially designed features and with accessories which incorporate a brand new painting method. To put it simple, the main focus of this product is on the advancement of technique in all aspects and shall not only be limited to a new head sculpt.

How different is it between the Mark III and displaying the Mark III BD in completely clean mode?

:lecture Agreed.

Just like here on this forum there some extremely vocal ppl that negatively reflects the overall mood on FB. I only count a handfull if not only two that kept repeating evrything in all threats just to be heard. I hope that HT realizes that the calm voices cannot and does not desire to outvolume those that are so vocal. As usual have some faith in HT

IMHO...

I don't mind the whiners/cryers at all as long as its constructive. I even appreciate the ones that are so nitpicky that they get the "stop whining it's just a toy" and the "if you don't like it, don't buy it" responses.

Each advancement by Hot Toys pushes our expectations higher and higher. No matter how amazing Hot Toys' figures constantly look, it's our money, and they need to earn it from us. The biggest way to do that is to meet our expectations. It's the constructive criticism that constantly pushes Hot Toys to meet and exceed those expectations.

What's weird is that, if u read the Hong Kong forums, the local customers are more pissed off than the overseas customers.

Yes, Hot Toys has no control over some issues but they could have let customers know long ago what the final product was going to look like. Instead they chose to reveal it right at the end. Don't see how that is defensible. They are doing the right thing by offering a full refund for those who no longer want it though.
