When you think about it, it really does look like Tony Stark. Maybe not RDJ-Tony Stark, but Tony Stark nonetheless.

If the piece isn't a reflection of RDJ character in the film but an accurate reflection of the comic character why consider it under the "movie masterpiece" license? Why not a comic license?
I am certain a percentage of the movie masterpiece cost to consumer's comes from fees owed to Marvel, studio and actor. A comic license would just be fees owed to Marvel which would lower the price tag.
I am disappointed with the sculpt like most but the sculpt alone won't stop me from purchasing. I plan to have the face plate down therefore, I am disappointed in the sculpt but it is not a deal breaker IMO. If the armor isn't up to par, then I will consider canceling especially with the higher price tag.

thats the thing with HKers. when they complain, they get vicious.
like how someone here said "HT owes us NOTHING".
i agree with that. with the mentality in HK, they feel the exact opposite. in fact, they expect more from HT, and one little slip up...they give em hell.
i mean i've seen my fair share of that behavior in NY. but it just seems a bit worse over in HK.
i feel bad for HT, having to deal with such a hostile and demanding crowd.

You guys do realize that the reaction from online users Hot Toys were talking about is from the HK forums and Facebook, right?
Have you seen the comments over there? Have you? Words of sueing Hot Toys and that they suck and all that. It's terrible.
There have been critiques and words of disappointment here, on this forum, but it has all been civil and very reasonable and valuable.
are there any pics from the final product on toy hunter display from today??
What's weird is that, if u read the Hong Kong forums, the local customers are more pissed off than the overseas customers.
not exactly, over half of the disappointment comments in FB is from overseas, i think overseas are more pissed off?
Somehow i am relectant to distinglish HK and overseas as there are too many countries involved in overseas.
Is it me, or does it look like his eyes are lit up??
