Hot Toys : New DX TDK Joker 2.0 Coming

I couldn't care less about what accessories it comes with. But a better headsculpt will make me very happy.

I hope they do sculpted hair similar to what they did with the new Thor figure.

And I definitely hope we get nicer clothes. The Nicholson Joker's outfit is vastly superior and it would be nice to have a Ledger Joker with clothes of that calibre.



I wouldn't be surprised. Look at the Indy DX.

I agree on the head sculpt. Give me a good head sculpt and I will be happy.

Thors hair looks awesome.

Indy's shoes look nice. Is there a foot in there or is it still made for a peg? I could imagine it's a _____ to tie if they came untied.

I have mixed feeling as well. Sculpted preserves true 1/6th better, but the added realism of leather and laces is nice...

While Sideshow distributes nearly every Hot Toys release these days, a few years ago Sideshow didn't sell the DX 1 Joker, at that time they only sold the DC direct figures, at least that is my memory of it. I bought the DX 1 Joker from Cornerstore Comics for $164.99 or $174.99, one or the other, which was the lowest price I could find.

SSCs didn't sell any DC licensed merchandise when this was released...not even DC Direct items. The first DC items SSCs sold was the Watchman merchandise and the only reason they could sell that was, I believe, due to some type of licensing privileges related directly to the movie. It was a bit later when SSCs started offering DC Hot Toys product.

I'm not sure they were even selling DC when the DX 02 was released. DC Direct was selling HTs DC product by then, but not SSCs.

I can't remember their first HTs DC product...

That's actually pretty cool. Even when a shoe is well made, it never fits a foot perfectly. It's either too loose, or it's misshapen. In either case you have a figure that doesn't want to stand pn its own. :/

Yeah, its more LIKELY it will be purple suit version with possible extra outfit which COULD be a BR outfit, but who knows

From what I am reading the DX 2.0 will be a rehash of the first DX with possibly a better sculpt and more accessories. I am thinking about getting a BR version myself if the price is right. If not I will just get the 2.0. Not gonna bother with the first DX.

Give it time guys. I guarantee that when Nolan Bat fever hits ppl are going to be getting pretty sick of all the batman announcement just as some of you are about the Avengers stuff. Do you want both a Bank Robber Joker AND a classic clown outfit Joker?

If so, then it would be stupid NOT to buy the Bank Robber Joker now. That figure is only going to become more expensive.

But if you only want one Joker, and you don't care what it is, then it would be best to wait for the DX 2.0 Joker.
