well at least the line isn't dead yet, that's the good news. shaw is cool and all, but man it would totally blow if we don't get an engineer as well. without a confirmation of an engineer coming, i'm on the fence about even getting shaw at all or david if it turns out to be him instead.

Well at least the pic is confirmation that the line is still going. Shaw is the main character. Releasing anyone else first would be crazy.

That image looks to represent a very early prototype...wow. They haven't even sculpted the chest armor for that piece. Even for a male body, the frame is "chunky". Don't know - I've basically given up that well ever see any more Prometheus themed figures - NECA has killed their line, Hot Toys may do so as well. It will be a pleasant surprise if HT rolls out with this one in 2014.

If they were gonna kill the line, then I don't think they would show a coming soon Prometheus plaque at SDCC.

There are other figures/lines people are waiting to see like the 'Batman: Arkham City' figures, and Bruce Banner. But Hot Toys didn't bother showing a Coming Soon 'Arkham City' line plaque.

I wonder why they took the extra effort for Prometheus? I would only assume it's because they are going to make at least one figure.

I think we are getting more than we think, it still says figure's.More than one its looking like, but the wait and the info is just the worst business.If there was more competition they would be better than this.I hate the fact they can keep us on the hook and still get my money.Because i will buy them if they make them.

^^^^^^ yeah those upclose pics have me confused. it totally looks like a man. PLUS (and i hate this part) who ever it is, is wearing that stupid space (swimcap) thingy.........i was hopeing they would have actual hair, sculpted or not...dont care really...anythingy is better than the cap...

They are in the suit with the helmet on, of coarse they'll be wearing the cap. They could come with 2 heads.

no.....shaw does not wear the cap through out the whole movie, only in a few scenes. But yes, he/she should come with 2 heads. Most of the scenes with the helmet, no one has the cap. i dont think fifeild ever had one, and i know Ford did not have one.

Agreed not a big fan but its not a deal breaker for me.I wonder if the 2 scuplt theory is part of the wait.Im pretty sure two heads would be a big part of the sells

It's going to be David 8. I guarantee Hot Toys originally planned to release Shaw first, but they saw how David became the most popular character from the film. Don't get me wrong... I love David and Shaw equally, but it's business. NECA's only high selling figure was David. The rest failed in the market and Shaw was never released. David 8 and an Engineer in a Space/Chairsuit will be top sellers

That's definitely not Shaw, probably David. It might even be a HT prototype and they blocked out the headsculpt pending approval.

yah, that confirms it, the image in the photo is not Shaw. But maybe, just maybe they will be able to do both. Lets hope because i really want a figure of Noomi
