I like this thread , it really has been a nice debate if we will get anything or maybe shaw and david.Its been better than reading that people are modding there joker 2.0 which IMO is perfect outside of the hair

I guess I've gotten the ****s when people post pointless crap in here - & that in itself is fair enough to feel, but if I'm going to be completely honest.. I do the same thing in other threads too sometimes - mainly a few of the SSC SW threads. 
I know some folks think Prometheus is a bad movie - & that's fine, but it ****s me to no end, when in the same breath they start with the "they should make X before even considering this line.." - etc. Put a sock in it.
If HT have planned different licenses in their schedule going forward - boardies making demands like that are just talking nonsense. They'll make what they want to - it's that simple.

Every other line outside Marvel these days feels like a filler line until the next Marvel film is released.

I was looking forward to these figures. But now that they have waited so long. I pretty much lost interest now. I feel HT has done the same anyway.

This was filler in case the movie hit it gigantic and it didn't....
they may still do it someday..with HT never say never

Doesn't Hot Toys release Christmas previews? I think that was when they originally previewed Prometheus and other stuff. Perhaps we'll know which character is coming out then.

Projections for Prometheus this late in the game might fall the same as Avitar. Hype and excitement was all but done. All I know for a fact is that you will be paying more today than if figure was released during the time of theater or blu ray release

So how does the cancellation of a line work, anyway?
When a company like Hot Toys acquires the license to a certain movie, do they pay up front? Or do they send part of the earnings to the franchise holder?
If it is the former, then HT would be losing a lot of money by not releasing the figure. If they did release it, even to lukewarm reception, perhaps they could get some of the investment back.
If the latter, do they have some sort of contract that binds them to releasing the figure?
Just speculating, since I've no idea what I'm talking about...
