I'd definitely buy a 1/6 David..fassbender played a brilliant part in this movie and made it rather enjoyable..im with everyone else an engineer would be nice to have

Yeah, and HT already has form with figures like Battle Suit Jill Valentine that have similar construction.

I hope Hot Toys releases some kind of teaser or images of the line soon, theres so many licenses coming i dont want Promethius to be revealed when the sequel comes out lol

And the Engineer when he wakes up from stasis. I would be surprised if they did anything else.

I am okay with the new "idea" of what a Space Jockey really is (humanoid in space suit), but it sure does take a lot of the alien feel out of Alien now. It was much cooler and mysterious as a completely "alien" being that seemed to make no earthly sense. Now it makes total earthly sense and is therefor far less interesting to me than trying to wrap my mind around something so conceptually foreign.

My one problem with the suit explanation for Jockeys is that in Alien, the head had an open mouth with teeth and was clearly not a helmet over another head.

I agree with you about it not feeling "Alien" at all really. However, I think the creator of mankind idea is just as interesting.

In my mind, both are cannon. Just two seperate roads. SJ being a suit and creating man...and SJ being an actual alien being that has no real connection to us.

I like both ideas equally, so, they're both cannon in my mind.

I THINK so. I'm pretty sure he accepts Aliens part of the story. As for 3 and AR he looks at them as bastard children. Especially now with Prometheus, it basically negated the story in those anyway.

One, it didn't. At least for Alien 3.

Two...

In your conversations with Ridley did you discuss the other Alien films?
He hasn’t seen the Alien Vs. Predator films, he likes Cameron’s sequel but he admits to feeling a little conflicted that he was passed over in terms of directing the sequel. He’s a huge Fincher fan and feels sorry that David was so hamstrung in terms of what he could and could not do in terms of Alien 3 and while he acknowledges that it’s a beautiful looking film I think he wishes that Fincher would have been allowed to do what Fincher does on that film. I have a feeling that if Alien 3 had been Fincher’s third film instead of his first then it would have been up there in the pantheon of great sci-fi. We didn’t talk about Resurrection.

It's supposed to be, yes. But AvP:R is an abomination of a movie and doesn't really exist in the Alien universe.
