I know! I know! My big want (and the 1/4 Stormtrooper). I'm also getting the new SS Vader and putting an EBay HT head on it...so I'll be fully happy with my VADER collection.

I'm not a big fan of the ROTS version (tho of all the prequels movie i do enjoy that one). My Favorite movie is Empire Strikes Back and it is the one Star Wars movie I can watch over and over. I think all the OT SW characters are characterized best in this film, especially Lord Vader. His uncaring attitude towards his lieutenants, the Imperial March John Williams theme, his Super Star Destroyer, his fight with Luke and his epic reveal. I'd love this version most.

But if you look at my comparison pictures, the helmet seems to look more OT than ROTS. And he seems to look bulkier than the Hayden Christensen worn Vader suit. Here is another pic (don't know why they have him looking way up.)

Yes! I love Empire too! Probably Empire and Revenge of the Sith are my two fave SW films. I prefer the darker films tbh, which is why I'm hype for 8 more than TFA.

I actually got the SS DX Vader and modded it (filled out the arms and crotch, paint the neck post black, general suit adjustments) and I'm really happy with it. But this Vader... I'm so hype for this. I picture this as being Vader immediately after Revenge of the Sith, where he's hunting Jedi. Stronger and more comfortable with his suit. I'm preordering the minute it goes up. Praying its around $450-$475.

I hope this is a time when Hot Toys takes liberties with the likeness. I have a feeling that maybe they won't touch ESB/ROTJ for a bit since SS just had a figure come out. I was kinda hoping for a Rogue One version, but this wishful thinking that that version is good in the first place as it had yet to be seen. I thought I may be upset if they released another 1/4 scale in my preferred version but I would be very happy with this figure as is. It looks amazing.

With Ben kenobi coming with a sculpt, a kylo mask, and a melted vader helmet this really should include a charred anakin sculpt.

Well, I'm really liking this 1/4 vader. I guess I'll buy it eventually. I'm convincing myself that this is ANH Vader with vintage clothing.

in that picture it looks like the shoulder arms is NOT one piece.. you can see on the left arm that is raised that the shoulder part of the armer is raised as well...

to me.. no matter.. this figure looks so good and you can have the ultimate Vader pose ... and I will probably trying to copy the pose from Attakus Vader1 .... can't wait.. hurry HT.. put it up already

But that helmet is symmetrical and flaired like ROTS and that suit is just like ROTS too.

Look at the collar/back of the neck. There seems to be that portion of the helmet which is exposed when Vader takes off his helmet. Never before have I seen this part whilst the helmet is fully intact. Maybe this means we might see an Anakin face sculpt.

^ nice find! I wouldn't mind a charred Anakin sculpt to seal the deal. I'd hope it's the recently burnt Anakin with Sith eyes, not old lumpy Anakin. I already have one of those haha. Every time I see pictures of this I want it even more.
