Is it a bad thing that it isn't one piece?
its a good thing !!! as far as I know.. ROTS is just one piece... ESB/ROTJ is in pieces... correct me if I am wrong please

This was answered some pages ago. The armor was apparently one piece, but shoulder bells could indeed move:

You can clearly see the separation...when his arms are outstretched....here's a closeup so you can better see it:

Look at the collar/back of the neck. There seems to be that portion of the helmet which is exposed when Vader takes off his helmet. Never before have I seen this part whilst the helmet is fully intact. Maybe this means we might see an Anakin face sculpt.

The kotobukiya offerings have had the neck portions sculpted and included without a reveal face. Also other Japanese offerings like the Reds vinyl Vader in 1/2 scale has a neck piece, but non removable helmet.....although Vader in rots was shown with Anakin's face even before completion of the suit, so they may include it if they're gonna surprise us.

Nice to see a lot of interest in Vader ...unfortunately I've parted with a few pieces of my Vader collection, partly because of newer versions coming down the pipeline, and my town ain't big enough for two of them.

The 1/4 scale Vader will be my second and last piece for Vader. I upgraded my Sideshow Deluxe (sold the figure, kept base) to the newer ROTJ Vader...which I would highly recommend.

This has been a very long wait period for the 1/4 Vader...my hope is that they switch it to a Rogue One version. But whatever is released I will buy and be satisfied with as my 1/4 Vader.

That's a thought...though as a collector the "licorice" suit of the earlier release is a novelty...

I am also hoping for a rogue one version...which I think this life size version is:

It is VERY reminiscent of Anh, but looks shiny and newly built...

Like the very finished refined versions of the and stormtroopers (with recessed "kill stripes" /vents) and modular, separately molded parts, this version of Vader is cleaned up on the inside of the dome...could just be sideshows doing but I wonder if it is indeed rogue one Vader....

I forgot to add...I hate it when the depiction of Vader is like he's trying to hold his trousers up by the belt boxes....typically, he RESTS his hands on them closer to the buckle and the belt sags...he's not trying to keep his pants up because they're too big.....

Is the licorice really a novelty?

And I think you may be on to something. Any newer Vader release you would assume would tie in with the new movie Rogue One.
And I am really confident that Rogue One Vader will at least be a memorable, faithful design choice rather than the divided ROTS.

Actually I just saw the Vader.....from rogue one....he's got big footballer shoulders .....I hope it's only from certain angl and not inherent to the design...the actor might just be really broad-shouldered.--
That said, I hope they keep this as is.

This picture.

Hmm....yeah I hope they dont keep those "hockey pads". Batman doesn't wear them so why should Vader.

I just hate when they try to hyper-masculinize characters...making them overly huge with padded muscle foam stuff. The OT Vader was a massive guy...but realistic.
Helmet looks good.

Anyways...I'm not holding my breath haha.

That's just one picture...there more...I wonder if the actor has no neck to begin with....

is there any light at the end of the tunnel ??? I mean why are they holding back to finally put this up for pre-order?? this has been showed around since about 2 years now.

Yes I know I know the wait is excruciating for this figure. Once I have it in hand...the wait will be well worth it I am sure. But yes this is VERY long to show such an impressive character in 1/4 and have little to no info besides the prototype. I guess this is how Batman '66 bat mobile fans feel haha

I feel like a good time to release this figure would be this winter to coincide with Rogue One since he is physically in the film. Again, it would be an awesome treat if it were a Rogue One Vader...but I'm just crossing my fingers this goes up for PO soon. I honestly check everyday hoping hahaha.

I want this Vader on my team. He would make a great Quarterback.
