My point is that I wanted the figure before I saw the movie solely based on the design, but once I saw the movie I'd didn't seem as necessary of a purchase. They look damn cool and have some really neat details in the armor but they got no close up shots and are relegated to background fodder.

Interesting prototype. Thanks for the post. My most hoped-for HT figure from RO is the AT-ACT driver. If that shot in the film corroborates the 3.75" Hasbro fig, then the drivers appear to be clean white versions of the shoretroopers, making them resemble redesigned scout troopers even more. I think they'd look wonderful in 1/6 and would only require a new paint app on HT's part.

The red pilgrims on Jedha come in at a close second.

I don't think we'll see it for a while unfortunately. I imagine that the base bodies for the Jedha patrol figures were produced at the same time as the single Jedha figure , allowing a quicker release.

Yes, it's from the The Art of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Very amazing book to own, highly recommended if you are a SW fan or wanting to know the background of each character designs.

Hence it being called the E-22 Blaster Rifle, this thing is a beauty!

I like pretty much all of the blaster designs for this movie, but one thing that baffles me is why all of the Stormtrooper blasters have Surefire flashlight mounted to them. It seems like they could have dressed it up a little so it wasn't immediately recognizable.
